  1. Here's one I finished a while back. Looks like a barn find that got some updated horse's and heading for the track. Scale is 1/16. Let me here what you think on this one. Tommy
  2. Top notch build! You nailed it with the doors. It's all in the details.
  3. Excellent build. This truck being that particular orange would look great decaled as a Schneider truck.
  4. Super realistic build. In the right picture setting it would easily pass for a real truck.
  5. Great build with fantastic paint and crisp details.
  6. Excellent build with great detail. It's all in the details.
  7. I made the amp from a twenty dollar honey tone amp I bought on eBay. The cigar box was a Cohiba if I'm not mistaken. The handle and hinges are cabinet hardware from Home Depot. The design piece on the front is a sound hole cover from an Ovation acoustic-electric guitar.
  8. Do it! You won't regret it. You don't have to be a luthier to make one of these. The most important part of building a cigar box guitar is the neck. It needs to be strong and straight. You can buy necks on eBay already cut and fretted for less than fourty dollars. I built my neck myself and fretted it to Gibson scale.
  9. it sounds like a blues slide guitar hopped up on steroids. It really wales when I plug it into my Fender hotrod amp.
  10. I like to build my guitars like my models. From scratch. Here's the last one I built from a cigar box along with a custom cigar box amp.
  11. Great build with perfect weathering. Looks realistically used but not over done.
  12. Great cab over build. The road spray on the trailer is perfect.
  13. Great job on the dio. All the small details really make it pop.
  14. You nailed the rust and faded door lettering. I admire a builder who goes after it and nails it like you did. Great job!
  15. In my experience clearing over BMF makes the edges look cleaner where it transitions from foil to paint. The biggest plus is the clear will protect the BMF when handling the model or dusting it off.
  16. Got the compressor painted. I'm debating on whether to use the belt gaurd or not. The gaurd seems to kill the belt and pulley detail. What do you guys think.
  17. First a couple of questions: Do you rent or own? In other words are you allowed to cut a 6 inch hole in wall? Second question: Is this going to be a permanent long term paint area? If you're allowed to cut a hole and your going to stay in that part of the house to paint I would suggest venting your paint booth with a clothes dryer vent below the window out of sight. If you spray acrylic only you could use an indoor clothes dryer filter.
  18. Mario, The paint booth filter should catch 99% of the fumes and over spray. The filter needs to be changed pretty often if its doing its job. I replace my filter often with cheap furnace filters from home depot. If I spray rattle can paint I usually leave the piece in the booth and let the fan keep running a while until the paint fumes work off.
  19. If your going to repaint or restore I would suggest masking the tires then hand sand the chassis to prep it for paint. Removing those tires is a recipe for disaster.
  20. Great looking paint. Looks like your on your way. As far a air compressors I use to use a small single tank Makita. I now use a Paasche D500 and love it. Works great and super quiet.
  21. Air 20 to 22 lbs, needle #3 or #5, I prefer #3, distance 6 inches give or take depending on volume of paint flow. I usually spray fine mist coat at 5 or 6 inches.
  22. I'm admire a builder who's not afraid to to dive off the deep end and just go for it. Great build all the way around.
  23. That is one of the sharpest curb side builds I've seen in a very long time. It takes pure talent to take a box stock kit and turn it into a car like that.
