Thank You guys. I take it they don't have a website? I'll have to get a catalog or something. Thanks again for the help! Chris -
scale surfboards, where?
crispy replied to crispy's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Craig, Thanks for the kit list. I appreciate it. Unfortunately none of those kits interest me as far as what I build and basically all I am looking for are 1 or 2 surfboards for my project. I may have to pick up the v-dubs by jada. They come with surfboards. I was fairly certain someone popped these out in resin. Thanks Chris -
I'm getting things together for a project and would like to find one or two surfboards. Wood, resin or plastic. Prefer plastic or resin, but at this point, could some one fill me in on where to get these? Thanks Chris

Does anybody have a listing of...
crispy replied to Ken's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Bob, I must have looked online for hours for pics of those wheels. I preordered two sets of the Velis as it looks like a really cool wheel and one each of the others with exception to the 16" Daytona wheel. Really would like to see it before I order it. Thanks for the link! Chris -

Food Dehydrators & Paint Dryers
crispy replied to JayVee's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
John, I use an American Harvest by Nesco with variable temp settings. I usually keep my models at about 105. I think it sells for under $40 and you can buy extra shelfs for it. Easily found at Wal-Mart. Hope this helps. Chris -

That's a tough one Ken. I don't have a list, but here is what I know are two piece VIP Stich Dish Racing Hart type CR Bersaglio Spoke II Junction Produce SCARA Japan 19 VIP Amistad Rotino VIP Kranze Borphes VIP Kranze LXZ VIP Fabulous Profund Wald Duchatelet I noticed on HLJ that their are some new Aoshima wheels coming out in September. I've pre-ordered mine already and know they will sell out. I have a feeling of the four sets coming out at least two of them appear to be two piece. Maybe everyone who has any Aoshima rims can add to the list and we can get a nice two piece list started. Chris -
Yes, Ismael is back with a vengeance. I see you are hard at it too. They all look great, nothing new their. Look forward to your C-6R Ismael! Chris

That is really clean! Nice job. Love the blue-lines. Chris

That is gorgeous. I love those old Montes. My dad had a black 454 he had to sell, per the cops. He bought a 70 Nova ss then! LOL Anyway, I love it, the green fits perfectly! Chris

Thanks Guys, I look forward to building another one. I don't know why I enjoy this kit. Just wish it would fit together better. Hoping to get a handle on making those oil dipstick tubes. hint hint Ismael... LOL Chris

It still needs some finishing decals. I'm hoping Modeler Al gets them done so I can finally complete it. The hood does not fit, period. No matter how much trimming and cutting I did it wouldn't sit properly. All in all I am happy with the way it turned out. I love the color! Cobra Colors Brazen Orange metallic (the whole 2 ozs.!) 1.5 ozs. of Clear Rubbed out with Novus and polished with Mothers Aoshima Bersaglio Spoke II's centers painted TS-14 Main body from AMT/ Ertl kit Front, rear fascias and hood from the Polar Lights 2005 GTO Bare metal foil headlights and tailights painted their respective colors where needed. Clear lenses from the 04 kit. Engine was wired and the crossover rail from some thin wire was used. I attempted an oil filler tube, but I didn't get my dimensions for the pull top right and took it off(hood clearance issues), but will get on to making a new one here eventually. Underhood decals used from a variety of spare decal sheets. Exhaust tips are Parts by Parks Megaphone style. They look spot on. Anyway, here are the pics: A couple of shots with my Black quick build: The rest of the photo's can be seen at My Fotki Chris

"If the thought of the new 500-hp Ford Shelby GT500 Mustang hedging in on the 505-hp Corvette Z06's territory raises your blood pressure, don't despair: Corvette chief engineer Tom Wallace has a 650-hp trick up his sleeve. A new super Corvette will build on the Z06's 7.0-liter LS7 V-8 that was developed in sync with the Corvette C6.R Le Mans racer. For this limited-production Vette, which might be called the Z07, Chevy will increase the LS7's displacement and bolt on a supercharger to bump output by 145 hp. The Z07, due in 2008, will be further differentiated from the Z06 by the use of more carbon-fiber body panels and a huge hood vent aimed at killing front-end lift. In true Corvette style, Chevy will undercut competitors by pricing the Z07 at about $100,000. This Corvette has been known within GM as the Blue Devil, after the mascot of GM CEO Rick Wagoner's alma mater, Duke, and also as the Sting Ray, but we think they'll go with Z07, or maybe Z06.R." My thoughts: Chris

Whoa! That car has presence! That looks fantastic! Chris

ajay--That is a nice clean build. Looks perfect and I like the fact you left it clean and sticker free.... Less is more. I've learned that the ones that have light body mods and no decals are the ones that have the meaner bite... Chris

Camaro concept release date question
crispy replied to ismaelg's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Ismael, the release date is 10/31. Now, as you know this can change. It has changed once already, it was initially due out 8/31. Anyway, Tom at Hobby Heaven should have them a week or so before the actual release date. Most hobby shops will get them a few days after the initial release. Chris -
All I can say is WOW. How much practice are you doing? Are you artistically inclined? Excellent work. I guess I need more faith in my abilities. Chris
