  1. I'M still getting notices on the '94 Grand I totalled in '98.
  2. Got my first REAL paycheck from TruGreen.......it is good, and weekly! Better yet, the next one will have 2 sales commissions on it and I should have that Friday morning!
  3. That's the one, I looked it up when I got home from work that night and discovered that, still kinda want to visit it though. Kinda disappointed that they didn't have anything for plastic models or radio control, but from what I saw on their website, they're probably a part of why the HTU I worked for didn't have a huge number of model train customers, most of them were probably spending their money in that shop instead of the one I was at, especially if you were already in the Wheaton/Carol Stream area and the drive time would be comparable (they're about 30min from home and work and would be at least 45min from my old store) when you look at the selecion we had vs what they look to have!
  4. Saw a Stock, restored Model T pickup being driven by a man in his late 80's when heading back to the office from the field.
  5. What year is your Challe ger Bill? My Sister's '14 isn't on the list, so far as I know.
  6. I guess what bugs me on that is that some will complain about spending the money on the service, yet not seeing the nice green grass, just brown grass and green weeds. Then again, when I was going through training, the guy who it the supervisor had somebody complain to him that while on a 6 week vacation, who ever shot the weed and feed on his lawn got some on the flowers and killed them........now keep in mind, there was no watering of those flowers until the last to weeks at the earliest and it's been dry, as well as hot and humid. Typically, yes.....although there was a glitch and the three of us who are new had our second paychecks delayed until August 1st, then we get our next checks after that on that Friday! Best part, not only is the pay better than what I had been getting in retail, but I'm going back to a weekly paycheck at least
  7. Trees are a bit much, but in many cases, it makes sense for HL, Micheals, Jo-Ann, and other craft stores to have their Christmas stuff out already, it gives the people making Christmas themed crafts for gifts or sales the time to collect the supplies and start making the stuff before the season is upon us.
  8. We're lucky, my Jeep is too old, my 200 and my Sister's Challenger should be too new, our Parents' T&C hasn't made the list......yet, and Lil Sis traded her '06 Charger for the Challenger before that model hit the recall list!
  9. We're getting some right now, enough that I'm heading back to the office after some lunch, a change of clothes and a trip to the bank.
  10. I think I had the cops called in me today. I went to do my evaluation.on the yard, which looked good, and saw some issues with the bushes, so I left them a note as well as 3 curled up leaves from one of their bushes that looked to have been sucked almost dry from aphids. I leave the note hanging on the door, walk back to the 200, and next thing I know, a Lombard Explorer Interceptor rolls up to the same house! I wad going to visit the neighbor, but that suddenly looked to be a very bad idea.
  11. IIRC, those are built for the Middle Eastern Market, all we get here are the stamped steel parts to convert the 4dr Wranglers into their 2dr Pickup J8 built for Military use.
  12. Yes, and we're in sore need of it too! Been seeing plenty of brown lawns that people don't want to spend the money to water the last coue weeks.
  13. I rarely do myself, rarely need them unless I'm going out of state or into Chicago from out here. Come to think about it, the last 3 times I was on the tollway was when Mom was in the hospital in Sycamore, and that was the easier way of getting there, when I went to the Auto Show in February, and that trip to Iowa a month ago.....and that's been since October of last year!
  14. Some years back, one of my uncles (married Mom's sister), was complaining about when he'd drive through Illinois from Iowa to go hunting in Wisconsin, that he and his buddies had to pay tolls here, yet not in Iowa or Wisconsin. Then a few years back I found a list of fuel taxes on Gas, Ethanol, and Diesel.........turns out our taxes are lower per gallon than those states. Also happened to be talking to a couple cousins while in Iowa a month ago and discovered they pay more per car to keep their cars registered than we do here, I paid $202 a year on both vehicles while they pay more to register just one.
  15. I was talking to a woman a couple years back that found her flex fuel Yukon ran better on either E85 or Premium vs Regular, and since E85 was typically cheaper than regular, she would normally burn that. My experience has been that outside of a chicago winter, my 200 tends to make more power and run cooler on E85 and that my Jeep (non flex fuel, all cast iron AMC I-6) would run cooler on 15-20 percent alcohol over just 10 percent.
  16. Depends on the price difference, the Speedway on Rt. 64 in Lombard is were I paid $1.29 yesterday, they were asking $1.49 for it today, as well as $2.19 for regular and $2.79 for premium, which still runs hotter with less power than E85. Compared to regular, it's a break even, compared to premium, it's a better deal. With my current driving (I'm pretty sure I've started the engine more in 1 week than I used to in a month), regular might be cheaper if the car didn't run cooler on it.
  17. It's made to run E85, get more power out of it on the stuff and the engine runs cooler too........which has been good this last week or so with this new job.
  18. Sorry, We-Go, at least at one time, was short hand for West Chicago as in We-st Chica-Go.
  19. Nice, I put E85 in my Chrysler for $1.29 yesterday, $10 nearly topped it off too!
  20. I ran across a place called Lombard Hobbies while heading back to the office today, anybody familiar with it?
  21. Don't know about Chicago, but things were fine between We-Go and Lombard. Things did get NASTY on Sunday though, I was heading back to We-Go from the southern end of Naperville (Mom is back in the Nursing Home down there) and at one point it was raining so hard that my wipers couldn't keep up and I thought I was going to have to pull over and let the storm pass!
  22. Walked another 12k steps today, I'm feeling it and my knees and right hip were sore!
  23. Honestly, I'm not sure which would be better right now, a hot tub, or an ice water tub.
  24. I'm watching a Lady Cop in Lombard give the owner of a Chevy Volt a speeding ticket
