  1. Never seen it, sounds cool though.
  2. My idea wouldn't me perpetual motion so much as a range extender like ReGen is on electric and hybrid vehicles........should be an effective method of engine braking too
  3. Dang it, you two got me thinking now! That might be possible in a way, do something in the trans to lock if to the "motor" so that while the car is coasting, the "motor" turns at that speed and maybe do something to draw in fresh air and re-route the "exhaust" back into the tank.....kinda like regen braking on electric and hybrid vehicles!
  4. I've seen that cover, but never knew what those tanks were for.
  5. AirHogs had some toy planes out in the late 90's that worked that way and motor wise, they ran pretty good for a tiny, clear plastic, single cylinder , backwards air compressor. If you had one fully aired up and just let it loose (it had no obvious form of mechanical throttle), they would try to pull themselves out of your hand if you didn't have a good enough grip on them and had a pretty aggressive sounding "exhaust note" (sorry, don't even know what that should be called) that sounded a bit "chopperish"! I think to make a street car out of the concept would require a car about the size of a Geo or Nash Metro with an insanely aerodynamic body and as mechanically efficent as possible, with the biggest airtank(s) that will fit under it.
  6. Kinda reminds me of some of the Acuras we get here, keep it up!
  7. Don't care what powers that motor, that was pretty cool! Aren't there companies trying to develop these air engines for 1/1 use? Don't ask me how well that's going to work for any kind of distance, it might take a huge air tank for any distance, But I'm not that familiar with the tech.
  8. Rover I think, IIRC he found a Mini in the junkyard and used it as a basis for this car.
  9. I thought that '40 looked kinda familiar, has that Suburban seen print at one time, it also looks kinda familiar........
  10. Thought it looked like GoodWood, that would have to be one of those bucket list things for me!
  11. That should be pretty nice when done!
  12. Never used the stuff, last time I airbrushed the lexan stuff down I had to use an acrylic and have have found that the Pactra Backing Black for some of the multistage RC paints also works fantastically for the rattle can chrome. Since it seems to smell and behave like Enamel paint, it should be styrene safe.
  13. LOL!
  14. Wonder how many people here know what the 2% means........I didn't until a few years back!
  15. The Germans already started it with the Liberty then the Patrion, Compass, and finally the current Grand Cherokee.
  16. Where is the murals from? It looks like it could be related to a set of graphic novel shot glasses he got for his girlfriend last Christmas.
  17. Sadly, the same could be said for the Aspen and Volare of the same generation.....
  18. It's like the Mini, those are more of a legend in Britan and maybe Europe than here. Our legandary peoples car here is more likely the tri-5 Chevy's than the tiny Euro gas sippers needed for Eurome comming out of WW2.
  19. Ok, still kinda away so here's a couple I knocked out tonight. For the first one, I've long considered the Lotus 7/Chaterham to be the British "Track-T". I would love to build Track-T someday using a relatively modern domestic turbo 4 cylinder ( I had wanted a 2.2/2.5 early T1, but could happily use a SRT 2.4 turbo motor too) and then set it up so it can actually turn well and make it a decent Track Day type car too. The second one is a Track-T....ish roadster, more along the line of the Alumacoupe, but with the engine where it belongs.....between the driver and front axle centerline!
  20. Wow, those are as cool as your low rider builds!
  21. Thanks Gary! Here's another, I was kinda aiming for a kustom 4dr Hudson with this one.
  22. Geez man, these paint jobs are just insanely cool!
  23. Nice, that would fit in nicely with those flat black '05 Impalas we built too!
  24. Were the rabbit ears for an on board tv?
  25. Ah dang, I was afraid that was going to be your answer, thanks for the quick answer too!
