  1. After Harry put up that one Mercedes that was a huge scale model, I'm going Model on this one, I just gotta feeling for some reason...
  2. But if you do, PUT IT ON VIDEO TAPE!
  3. Now that I look at it, I think it might have a Flathead Straight 8!
  4. That's what I do all year round, just be careful if you're going to use Pactra's candy lacquers, wait until it's warmer or atleast bring the piece in where it's warm because it has a funny reaction to cold weather. Last time I did that the lexan shell I painted looked like it had a pretty serious clear coat fade like you sometimes see on early 90's Jeeps!
  5. That is a beautiful truck! The color even looks like Chrysler's Crystal Black Clear Coat paint!
  6. Very true, htey are pretty nice. Did any of you guys ever notice that the rims included with this kit are 6 lug instead of the proper 5 lug bolt pattern?
  7. Ah, that's what happened to the one form that Bond movie
  8. GM had a huge recall on breaking tailgate straps a few years back here in the States. The way the news media made it sound, you'd swear that if a cable broke, the truck would careen out of control, take out church bus full of widows, orphans, and Nuns, then hit a nuke transport truck causing a nuclear holocaust of biblical proportions
  9. Nice, love the hairdryer too! What model locomotive did you steal it from
  10. And in styrene it would work great with that new Losi Micro Crawler too
  11. I'd buy it in plastic too!
  12. Nah, it's a Chevy, they broke off years ago
  13. Yup, as did the 348" V-8 in the AMT '58 Impala kit.
  14. Nice, looks like it belongs on the track stalking BMWs, not burning the weeds in some fairground
  15. Looking good, love the color!!
  16. I keep thinking model for some reason, so I'm going with that!
  17. Is this going to a rat or period show style rod?
  18. I remember that D.A.R.E. car in an old issue of S.A.E. from yeeeeaaars ago!
  19. Looks good so far, can't wait to see it done!
  20. I remember that article, IIRC it was a St. Regis powered by a built 360, I just can't rmember if it was Popular Hot Rodding or Car Craft (I'm thinking Pop Rod.)
  21. I was tinkering with a couple, one had the twin cam Hemi/4 speed (as well as the chassis) from the '70 Cornet kit and rolling stock from the AMT Viper GTS, the other was the same basic set up but used the 6 speed from the Viper and modified the cop car rims to fit the Viper tires.
  22. That looks reall good! I kinda dig these old show rods, hope that one gets reissued at some point after looking at your pics!
  23. Yup, looks like a Pre-War Mercedes to me too. SHould make a neat street rod considering the shape it's in
  24. Very different, I'm liking it!
  25. Real, the top looks to thin and the gas door doesn't seem to fit "right".
