That's what I do all year round, just be careful if you're going to use Pactra's candy lacquers, wait until it's warmer or atleast bring the piece in where it's warm because it has a funny reaction to cold weather. Last time I did that the lexan shell I painted looked like it had a pretty serious clear coat fade like you sometimes see on early 90's Jeeps!

That is a beautiful truck! The color even looks like Chrysler's Crystal Black Clear Coat paint!

I remember that article, IIRC it was a St. Regis powered by a built 360, I just can't rmember if it was Popular Hot Rodding or Car Craft (I'm thinking Pop Rod.)

I was tinkering with a couple, one had the twin cam Hemi/4 speed (as well as the chassis) from the '70 Cornet kit and rolling stock from the AMT Viper GTS, the other was the same basic set up but used the 6 speed from the Viper and modified the cop car rims to fit the Viper tires.

That looks reall good! I kinda dig these old show rods, hope that one gets reissued at some point after looking at your pics!
