Neat, I'm digging the sedan delivery/panel van look! Yea, but they truely ruined it after swapping to that inferior front suspension too
-
I'm going real too, if you look at the bottom of the headlight trim rings, you can see the retaining screws and if I'm seeing things correctly, there looks to be wax rings around looks like they could be the bumper bolts right above turn signals.

The HTU I work at hasn't been able to get Tenax for quite some time and I had heard that they closed up too. One of the places we sourced the stuff from is Great Planes (Tower's parent company) and I just checked their dealer access only search page (luckily I actually remembered the log in since I'm at home...... )and it's showing a stock status of Discontinued by G.P. I also looked for the Product info and under comments it had this listed; I just looked up the page on Tower, they're showing it as disco'd too. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXHU34&P=7 -
This is going to be good, kinda reminds me of some of the concept cars that come out of Detroit in the 80's!

Nice, I'm digging that look! You'll love that Grex, I tried one at the I-Hobby Show and now want one bad even though I don't do much airbrushing!

I've read about that on RCCrawler, sounds like you guys and Nebraska (Omaha in particular) got it "good". -

Top Gear, the end is nigh?
Joe Handley replied to HotRodaSaurus's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Considering how well Oliver did, I don't blame him in the least! True, that was a half-witted move, anybody ever figure out how well his 70's Rover's parking brake held up....once he welded the doors back on? -
Ah, that could suck for the cop in the Vette then, my sister smoked one of the Pace Car versions pretty bad a few years back with her now decieced Cherokee Briarwood in an impromptue street fight, apparently She didn't even realise they guy was racing her until her ex's mom (they were following in the Taurus he used to own) told he she did a good job pissing off the guy in the Vette when they got back to her apartment:lol:

Nice looking build! Now that I think of it, that body would be pretty neat on that new Losi Micro Crawler!

Sweet, he had Oliver restored! BTW, does anybody have a clue as to what in the work Clarkson was thinking by bringing that Italian car on that comparison? -
I'm going to guess model, the wheels just don't quite look "right" to me. That does seem to be the only good looking Lambo ever made.

Dealing with snowy weather

Here here Mike! Actually, yes! I was going somewhere in my old '85 Lebaron Turbo Sedan several Feb's back and took a corner a wee bit faster than most and had the car start to push a little as I tried to drive out of the corner ( I was out of the boost BTW), so I let out of it and the car grabbed and straightened out again so I continued on out of the acceleration lane. I then looked back and saw what looked to be a Mercury Mystake try that same manuver with much less success, the car had it's rather small front tires (looked to be 195/70/r14 to my 205/60/HR15's) cranked full lock to the right and the car was sliding left out of the acceleration lane and finally collected up it in the passing lane just before hitting the center median Don't know what made them think it was a good idea to follow me into that corner at what ever speed they were running (I'm guessing Monkey See-Monkey Do ), but they did and nearly wrecked doing so  -

Best/Worst Winter Vehicles!

When Dad was still working for the rail road they had an Exploder from that same generation that was a company truck and he HATED that piece of junk! It was tipsy, underpowered, didn't wheel worth a darn (his Cherokee wiht twice the mileage would go more places along the right of way in 2wd than that thing went in 4wd!) Only reasons he ever drove it was because he either he was using the railroad's gas money or he had to take a licenseless employee home and didn't want the liability on our heads if somehting went wrong. -
Those old flatheads do sound good, I do like the sound of a 4.0l Jeep with a gutted cat too, even if it's got nearly 300k on the factory motor and running an otherwise stock type replacement exhaust. Even the 3.8 Chrysler Minivan motors sound nice at idle to me for some odd reason

My sister has an '06 Charger SE with the 3.5 V-6 and Touring Suspension and so far as I know she hasn't had any electrical issues with it. The back seat probably isn't as big as a CV's but it's decent sized. I'm 5'11" and over 390lbs and can fit in the back (uncuffed of course ) with hardly an issue other than cracking my head on the roof every once in a while. She went from a Cherokee Briarwood so the cargo space was a pretty notible loss but the back seat space was a severe improvement over the old XJ platform (I think stuffing a perp back there in one that had the cage could be considered prisoner abuse ) , but apparently it handles quite well even when compared to the XJ, which is quite capable of healthy cornering speeds for a jacked up unibody station wagon with 4wd and two solid axles Now that I take a closer look at that Carbon, it has less back seat space than any XJ Cherokee, if not the 3dr Dodge Shadow I used to own You know, I saw something about that in the Cali Mountains this morning on CNN and I could have sworn I saw a late model crew cab Dakota (looked like it might have been 2wd too) that had the front tires chained up and it sounded like a few admitted that they didn't know which end of their vehicle needed to be chained up

where do you....
Joe Handley replied to coolcar429's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I work for my local Hobby Town, so what ones I have bought lately have been there, otherwise it's Hobby Lobby or Micheals. Haven't been to a Meijer or K-Mart in a while and the WalMart, Target, Toy's "R" Us have stopped carrying them. As far as online, I don't buy anything online...period, I prefer to support local retailers, their employees, and their surounding communities -

IIRC Dad said one of my uncles (#2 of the of them) had an early '65 Mustang, even after comepletely reworking the suspension on the car about the only place it was drivable was on dry, paved roads.....and if you went on gravel...well let's just say that's how the car died
