  1. Good point, should see how much they can take up if surfing from my cell phone
  2. What was up with the driver of that Rambler?
  3. Looks good, I like the color choice!
  4. Sounds like the mid 50's Buick (a '53 IIRC) in the Stephanie Plum Mystery series by Janet Evanovich, she pulled the hand brake and used the seatbelts in the car all the time
  5. Well, he could have stuck it in a Rustang
  6. Thanks guys, must have been more tired than I thought when I posted that
  7. More like a yellow spotch on the back window, guess you don't need to ask "That thing gotta HEMI?"
  8. To me THAT is the main problem right there, I feel that the government should give the Big 3 that money just because of what they have to spend to make cars that are being foisted on us because of those ###### regulations!
  9. Are you looking for something specific or just out to look and see what's out there? I work at the Hobby Town USA in St. Charles...which is a ways outside of teh city, plus there's several other HobbyTown franchises in the Chicago area too. Then There's Al's Hobbies in Elmhurst, Leisure Hours Hobbies in Joliet, Venture Hobbies in Wheeling, and there's also RC Hobbies in Naperville, but they are almost exclusively RC. All of these other shops mainly deal in RC but also carry plastic model stuff too.
  10. Looks like a well done plastic or die cast model.
  11. Ooooohhhhhhhhhhhh.........cool project, can't wait to see it done! Well, that was only a couple feet though
  12. I'm going with real here.
  13. Figured it had to a large scale model, it didn't look right for a real bike but seemed to well detailed to be a smaller (1/12-1/25) model.
  14. I did the same on a set of chrome rims for my Traxxas Stampede, only using the Pactra RC version of the paint and have beat the livin' snot out of the truck with those rims and the pant has held pretty well all things considered (as in 30+mph cartwheels ) I be willing to bet the only difference between the Pactra R/C and Testors/Model Master window tint paints are the labels around the cans and cap stickers since Pactra is part of Testors. Here's some pics of the truck after a rather high speed slide (maybe 25-30mph) into the curb infront of the HTU I work at to show the durability without even clearing them. Front Rear that blew the bead in the wreck Heres the rest of the carnage, gotta love RPM's nylon parts
  15. Workin' and that is all!
  16. Great pics ismaelg, far better than my cell phone camera (1mp). Gotta agree with the whole texting thing, I've maybe done 10 text messages since getting my first cell phone in 2001, got one co-worker who can get that in 1 shift! I do use mine on occasion for checking e-mails and web surfing, great for killing time on lunch or waiting while Mom was in physical therapy. Think I was behind somebody who was texting while driving, couldn't keep their SUV pointed in a straight line, actually I think I've seen drunks do a better job of vehicle control than this knucklehead was!
  17. Funny, I was thinking that it sounded like NA$CAR too
  18. I figured it was worth a try George Glad somebody else got it though
  19. Had they tried the Bottle Infrontofme approach prior to that?
  20. Mentioned seeing this commercial to my boss today and apparently she'd seen it too or had heard of it elseware and wants us to bring up that we also offer lay-a-way if somebody is on the fence.
  21. Probably smart, they won't stick out like a Crown Vic would.....and can still get out of their own way, unlike the Impala after a good heat soak.
  22. Could be a little from of both, Dad was telling me today that where he grew up in Iowa back in the 40's and 50's, that's how anybody got much of anything.
  23. I saw a new K-Mart commercial before going to work this morning and thought it was kinda interesting. I woman tells her husband that she is going Christmas shopping and he makes some smart arse comment about the pumpkins bearly being carved. Next scene they show her pushing a stuffed to overflowing shopping car up to the K-Mart Lay-A-Way counter. The main push of the commercial was to put the hottest/latest stuff on layaway so you can give them as gifts and have them on hold now and not have to worry about paying for it here and now. Now I'm only 32 years old, but I don't ever remember seeing a commercial that specifically advertises the use of Lay-A-Way. Are those out there that are either older or more observant than I that remember seeing these kinds of commercials in the past?
