  1. Been on the wrong end of a drunk driver myself, I wish him the best of luck on recovery.
  2. Here's an update on how well the race went for these guys!
  3. Apparently they're shooting for 1500lbs on that car and it has OEM, period corect, Factory Model A front end parts on it too Now guys, wrap you heads around these numbers 450hp.....1000ft-lbs of torque.....1500lbs curb weight and the capability to spin the motor up to 7200rpm while burning electricity provided by a 290v 1000AMP battery pack, in rc terms that is 1,000,000mAh!! It'll make the HP and rpm of a healthy small block, the torque of a healthy diesel, in a car that probably weighs what that healthy diesel and equally sturdy trans alone would weigh Mileage isn't good enough to be considered horrible......but it is a drag car right now
  4. I'm beginning to think that after looking at the ground just behond the front tire.
  5. I'll just "quote" what the O.P. on NAXJA.org posted about the project. Check out the vids he posted too, all is work safe, but you do need Quicktime to view the vids.
  6. Old enough to know better, but still to young to care Seriously....I'm 32, but in some cases the above could describe my 60+ y/o parents They don't mind my hobbies, Mom came to the conclusion some years back that I could be doing plenty of things with the money I've blown on plastic and R/C that are far, far worse than playing with toy cars
  7. Square bar and all, very cool!
  8. Looks good!
  9. Same thought as I had once I saw this............
  10. Wasn't there one with an R34 nose that you could win in Gran Tourismo 2?
  11. That's right Harry, if they blow it....again.... there's always next year.........again You seen those stupid white signs with a W on them? Somebody needs to make one is silver with an old English S in black on it
  12. Do the inset parts to color match the body, polish the rest and clear!
  13. Funny you mention that Harry, I've got the 1/10th scale RC model Rover Mini-Cooper from Tamiya and sometimes take it to work You wouldn't believe how many people have told me that they thought it was anywhere from 1/12-1/18 scale because they didn't realise these cars are that small!
  14. I want to say Earl, but I'm not absolutely positive on that. Is it me or does that windshield look too ###### tall on that car.....seems like a stock (any generation really) or better yet chopped windshield would fit that car better?
  15. Should be interesting to see what happens if the Sox go all the way and the Cub don't choke............................again If that isn't enough of a sign as to which team I prefer.......read the first lines of my sig
  16. Oh lava rocks! Bob had a few of those on his crawler course, great traction and they weighed next to nothing! Now the Jeff and a few others are talking about building and competing with mud racers, the "trail rig" class would pretty much eliminate my WK from that class, but there's goinf to be a "pro" class that will be open to most anything short of a Maxx style truck (although with a little imagination, the Traxxas Slayer could work )
  17. Either a ###### fine model or ###### fine artwork.
  18. Went to a crawler club cookout and get-together saturday and the club member who's house it was at decided to dig a little mud pit right before we got there. The club president and myself were the only ones brave enough to give it a try after he added more water and mixed it up a little better But tomorrow....the cleanup begins The bog My Wheely King TJ Jeff's PTI TJ This pic of my WK was taken by Cedric Vann, who won the summer comp series Here's some post bog pics of the two trucks Jeff's truck body off My truck Body off and the two sitting nose to nose Oh, if you're wondering how thick that mud was, here's a vid of me removing my WK from the pit after getting it stuck. If you listen closely, you can actually hear a slurping sound as the truck comes out of the mud
  19. Roof really works good on that car, would look better with slightly more detrimming and a slight drop in the front ride height.
  20. Hahahahahaha, heard a story like that from a customer about his niece and her BF, I just can't repeat it here
  21. I'd leave them off, looks better like it is!
  22. Had one like that last year, I ###### near turned the headlights off while driving home from work one night just to see if it would improve how far I could see in the snow, then later had my Father and a different person both tell me that may have been to my advantage that night
  23. SOunds like a drive home from work one night a few years ago, took me 1 hour to go 6 miles. The roads wouldn't have been a problem no matter which vehicle I'd have been driving at the time (I now have a CHerokee, but my Lebaron Turbo or Shadow Turbo wouldn't have had any trouble then either ), but it was the road-tards that always forget how to drive and can't drive more than 5mph in snow that I could drive 15-20 mph on a FWD with bald tires in
