I remember reading an article about a decade ago in SAE by Terry Jesse about a kustomized Buick model he built and painted with Pactra RC Lacquers. With the color combo he used it ended up with a bit of a flip flop effect when it wasn't a muddy brown or purple (It's been a while since I read it). I remember him saying that they were either candys and/or pearls from Pactra and that he called the combo Munster Pearl. I'd appreciate it if anybody's memory is better than mine is on the topic.
I knew there were some kind of problems with them that caused them to crack around lugs. I guess Kelsey-Hayes redesigned them within a year or so and put them on the market as an aftermarket rim. I also read somewhere that the procedure that Chrysler used to test rim strength at the time included neutral drops into drive and reverse
I was breaking up bearing sets for RC Cars that we've been trying to get rid of today and bagging the individual bearings up in corresponding sizes (5x11mm bearing went in 2-4 bearing per) in little baggies we recieved Tyco slot cars fon one of our distributors, some of which were labeled with desctription of the car that was in it. I stopped and laughed out loud when I saw this
Can anybody else see why this is so wrong it's funny?
Can we say Batmobile?
I have to admit, I dug the Tumbler, but can't wait to see what they come up with next. Wonder if it'll look anything like 90's cartoon ones that kinda resembled a land speed car (to me anyway )
