  1. Thanks, the hospital she is in is a good one (and not far from home, and now work!). This had been a bit of a crazy weekend too. Between being up late and early to help Dad with Mom the morning before she ended up.in the hospital, I got a hair cut, car washed and filled up, went to the C.A.R.S. club meeting on Saturday, spent much of the early morning Sunday at the hopital with the parents, went home, got a few hours of sleep and the went to the vistitation of another customer from the HTU I worked at that died the morning after Harry, then went and filled the car up again (both the club meeting and visitation were decent hauls), then went home and changed beforw going back to the hospital for a few hours (that also included naps for Mom, Dad, and Myself while there, lol). I'd go to Harry's visitation, since he also had shopped in the HTU I worked at, but the schedule at my new place of work has kinda gotten in the way.
  2. Mom is already feeling better now that the have some antibiotics in her and some hospital bed rest!
  3. Mom is back in the hospital, again, some of it is likey the longstanding problems she has been suffering from, some might be from the bronchitis she caught from me a couple weeks back.
  4. Well, I was driving the 200 in my avatar pic instead of my XJ or the parents T&C,,plus the tollway was pretty busy.......and I have no place to put a couch.
  5. Well, it did look like a brand new one!
  6. Well, I was running from Aurora to Schaumburg on the tollway and came across a brand new, still wrapped in plastic, couch laying bottom and back up in the middle lane of 88, not long before the 355 exits.
  7. The only answer is XJ! Seriously, there needs to be an XJ Cherokee kit made available!
  8. Welp, got to use my TruGreen provided insurance for the first time yesterday after an absolutely miserable weekend and having to call in sick on a work day. Turns out I've got the early stages of bronchitis and was prescribed an meds in pill and inhaler form the side effects of the latter include Dizziness, anxiety, runny nose and plugged up nose, dry mouth, jitteriness, elevated heart rate, and insomnia. Of course, the last 3 make themselves very apparent just as I was trying to relax and get some sleep.... Haven't run into the dizziness or anxiety yet, but I am quite irritated at the moment.
  9. Sorry, I typed the responses and op in a hurry, I was mainly interested in cloth seat and maybe carpet or headliner like textures, I used Model Master's fabric black spray on one model, but that has since been disco'd and it seems like grey is all that is still available at the moment.
  10. Making paints that will have a texture to them when dry, like the ModelMaster line, but in more colors.
  11. Has anybody tried this too? Kinda along the lines of what Model Masters has done, but using colors that MM doesn't offer or have stopped making?
  12. Here's a walk through of the EV West Shop Ranger, this is probably more along the lines of what I would replicate.
  13. Thanks guys! I might try something a bit more mild mannered though. I've got a 90's issue '61 Ranchero and the "427" seems like too much for it, especially for my build plans. Now the set up that EV West put in their '02 Ranger shop truck......but with the better batteries that 5 years of evolution can bring!
  14. Has anybody ever built a model that is supposed to represent a vehicle that has been converted over to be an electric vehicle? Been thinking about that while on my lunch break today and thought it might make for an interesting build subject.
  15. I just checked out the "local" Dick Blick, they sell them on line, but not in store yet. Before the club meeting next Saturday, I will be checking with a slightly more "local" store called Carlson's, see if they've at least heard of them before.
  16. That '32 with the Ferrari V-12 is done right, but I agree on the one in the link, it looks like parts thrown together without much thought. Other than body, drivetrain/rear suspension, and rolling stock, it looks like the rest is a throw away and start again nearly from scratch by somebody like Bill (Ace Garage Guy).
  17. How is it in scale though? That is my concern, I've thought of Doll House lace curtains, hoping they would be long enough (AMT '61 Ranchero side coves) and small enough to not look out of scale.
  18. Does anybody make a mask or decal that would look like lace graphics from the 60's?
  19. They have a couple stores in my area, I'm planning on visiting one to get some of these before too long too.
  20. Ok,thanks!
  21. Looks good,I have to ask though, what is the suspension like on it, I have one,but it's still in the trunk of my 200.
  22. When did Jewel start carrying those?! Mom and worked at the West Chicago Jewel/Osco and I don't remember those in the 4 years I was there ('92-'97) or them there when Mom retired in the late 00's.
  23. Almost forgot about the Power Slide Cuda and 240SX!
  24. How about the '69 Charger that George Clooney drove on one episode of Street Hawk?! Maybe Sinatra's Daytona from Cannonball Run 2
