You should live here. It's always amazing. Year 'round there are car things going on and there are car guys everywhere. But when the auctions come to town, every old car or truck known to mankind gets rolled out of the sheds and lean-tos, the unfound 'barn finds' get drug out, and average daily drivers suddenly become rare special-interest can't-live-without bargains. At least according to their sellers. Nearly every street corner in and around Scottsdale is festooned with 'for sale by owner' four-wheeled road apples. You gotta wonder where all these "gems" are hidden the other 11 months of the year.

Highs 75 - 77 every day for the next week or week-and-a-half. I don't pay any attention to the lows because they don't matter: I'm asleep or communing with Jack D.

Best I've ever done was lose 6 pounds in 15 minutes. Weighed in at doctor's office and couldn't believe the amount the nurse announced. Went directly home afterward and weighed in again. Six pounds gone!
