  1. We had a rough winter last year. It was five weeks long (daytime highs below 50 degrees) instead of the usual three weeks. And, it dipped below freezing (29 to 31 degrees) three nights, otherwise overnight lows around 35 degrees a handful of times. Had to scrape the frost off the windshield once.
  2. This is going to be well worth watching!
  3. Or, maybe he'd like it (prison life).
  4. Beautiful.
  5. Another one, Gregg: Hobby Town USA, 2945 N. Scottsdale Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85251, 480-945-2186. And, in March the same franchisee is opening a huge new store at 3401 W. Greenway Road, Phoenix, AZ 85053, 480-994-2023.

    Excellent stable of racers!
  7. Not bad at all!
  8. Says it best. But just to muddy the water a little more, most of those 50 states also issue many different styles of license plates. Currently Arizona has more than 60 styles available to motorists to choose from. I've heard but do not know conclusively that Colorado now has more that 100 different license plate styles available for registration!
  9. Man, Kenn. You area the scratchmaestro!

    Nice. I personally don't care for the large orange wheels, but it still looks nice and others may like the wheels, no?
  11. Yep. Intended to bend small trees and large bushes down to allow the truck to pass over. Some pop back up after the truck passes, and some snap off near the ground, making a 'path' for the truck and any others that must follow. Quicker than cutting or chain-sawing each bush or tree.
  12. Beautiful, both.
  13. That's a frequent answer I get when I'm trying to figger out whodunit! But the most frequent answer I get from interlopers and ne'erdowells is 'Idunno.'
  14. Cool!
  15. Sad news indeed. A true friend ... and champion ... of the hobby.
  16. $100 shipping? Well, when you consider shipping a 1/25 kit can average around $12-$15, that doesn't sound so bad. Remember, they are 1/10 scale. They are LARGE. And, they are arguably more delicate or at least more easily damaged than a 1/25 kit. Some careful packaging in a large cushioned box with appropriate insurance . . . I can see $100 shipping to get it to the buyer as safely as possible.
  17. Darin, "Bullying." Really? With all due respect, please leave the neo-psycho-babble out of it. This isn't grade school and there's no "bullying" going on, so there's no need to drag the PC Drivel of the Day into the discussion. The guy is a snake oil salesman. What's so wrong with people calling him out on it? Even in absentia. If he's not a snake-oil salesman or styrene carpetbagger, let him come forth and explain what it is that makes him a "Pro" even though he can't complete a model competently. It seems to me this is no different than people raising a warning flag or commenting on poorly-executed model kits or sloppy resin products or any number of other consumer issues. But "bullying?" No. I call 'foul' on that. {Actually, if you insist on using the over-used term, it's more like 'bullying' to tell people they can't or shouldn't express their thoughts or concerns, when you get right down to it.}
