  1. What a difference! It's beautiful (now).
  2. Heartfelt prayers and condolences to Officer Sloan's family (blood and brethren, especially including you, my friend). Godspeed, Nick. You and your partner were truly American heroes. As you always say, G, . . .
  3. Neal, Bruce, Peter, Chris, Alan, Thank you all for your kind words! Bruce ~ Inspiring others to appreciate a genre is a real 'mission accomplishment' in my view, and a great compliment. Peter, Me too! I've been in love with Model As and Model AAs for half a century! Glad you like. Alan, it was such a pleasant surprise. To find an inexpensive and readily available over-the-counter spray paint that so perfectly matched the judging-standard Ford A, B, and mid-30s engine paint was definitely good fortune. For what I spent on the 'official' paint for my 1:1, per can, I could buy a case of the American Accents.
  4. Tulio, Your remarks are truly appreciated. I'm a big fan of your exquisite work. Tom, Thanks my friend! And, yes, yours is coming out ... a ... little ... differently! But I can dig that, too!
  5. Tom is making a valiant effort to corner that market!
  6. Well, upwards of $70 is a concern for somebody that would buy several. Wonder if Ford Motor Credit will finance case lots at a reasonable interest rate?
  7. Nice build! FWIW - I was there! I saw the 1:1 and good ole Ter. Then I got very wet. It was still all good.
  8. These are very sweet kits! Wish I had more, but they are hen's teeth. They build up simply but nicely and accurately represent one of GM's more striking cars!
  9. Thanks for the breakdowns of the various iterations; I always wondered about the precise differences between issues.
  10. Mark, John, Dave, Sam, Thanks so much for your compliments! I'm very glad you like it.
  11. Bring it on! I'll have a pitcher of margaritas ready for you ~ we'll toast our mutual surrender. Believe me, there's more than enough "warm" to share. Just wait until July & August, and check back with us then.
  12. Thanks, Ira! Means a lot. Don, thank you. And that could very well be the original source! I obtained the hinge from an online hobby dealer in New England, but when I went back for more, they were "no longer available." I've lost the packaging, but as I recall, it was repackaged but was measured in mm rather than inches. In fact, the product Phoenix Model Developments lists as Miniature piano hinge 4.5mm open x 152mm (6") long (Ref: H060N) seems to match the measurements. Could well be the same product! Thanks for the link. I have some fire apparatus equipment compartments that could use these! Pete, Bruce, Glad you like it. I appreciate your comments. Geoff - See the link above, courtesy Don Banes. He really does know et all!
  13. It's that very rare Bel Air Thunderbird!
  14. Great stuff! Thanks for sharing.
  15. Pete's right! It is downright frigid out there today! That cold front is coming through and it's only 55* now. Gotta find some long pants to put on. And maybe some socks.
  16. BIN only $45,000.00? No prob. Lemme just dig around in my pocket for the change . . . Yikes!
  17. Charlie, Johnny, Larry, Ray, Carl, Rob, Thank you, gentlemen. Your comments are very much appreciated. Joe, yours, too, but I just had to add a note for you. You have no idea how ironic your 'no need to hurry' observation is! When this build was finally nearly done, it was the eleventh hour before a contest I had wanted to enter. I worked on the model all night in the hotel room (final assembly) and finished it only 15 minutes before close of registration! I don't - and won't - cut things that close any more.
  18. Sweet!
