    Actually, the references to the mirrors had to do with the AMT kits, not the real/1:1 trucks. The turbine tractors, to the best of my research, were never available to fleets or purchasers, there were only a few built and they were all owned by, operated by, and tested by GM. None were sold, as far as indicated by any written info I've found. It was an experimental program, but GM discovered the turbines could not generate enough fuel economy to be more cost effective than the common diesel engines, so the experiment was shelved.

    It was a beautiful weekend at GoodGuys Southwest Nationals in Scottsdale!! Perfectly clear to partly cloudy with 3,000 metalflake and flamed rods, customs, and cruizers shining everywhere. Not to mention hundreds of amazing model cars! Oh, yeah. There were some Thunderbolts, a couple of Cyclones, and even a custom Toronado.

    I've suggested that previously, but apparently there was some resistance from Barnes & Noble while the negotiations were underway to get MCM into their newsstands. Having said, that, however, I also note that Rodders Journal and Hot Rod, and probably others, have abandoned the "cover date" thing entirely. So maybe it's not such a big deal any more after all. At the same time, I also note that B&N has still not gotten around to stocking MCM despite agreeing to do so more than a year ago.
