  1. Harry Did Not Say That! Did he?
  2. Actually, Don, Darryl Starbird built the 1:1 in 1964 and Monogram created the Big Deuce kit later from the full-sized rod. The Little Deuce came along even later as an effort to capture more of the modeling market from kids who couldn't afford the 1/8 scale Big Deuce. Both kits were quite popular. I believe it was the Big T that was designed by Starbird for the Monogram 1/8 scale kit before they commissioned him to build the corresponding 1:1 rod for promotional purposes.
  3. Very sorry to hear this news. I met Bill a few years ago at the IPMS Nationals here in Phoenix. Friendly and gracious guy, generous with his time and extremely enjoyable guy to chew the fat with. You would have thought he'd known me for years. He's just the kind of bigger-than-life guy who'll really be missed in this hobby.
  4. Mickley's ... next Wednesday. And Moonlight Modelers will be at Mickley's the next Saturday. See you there.
  5. Looks great, G!

  7. ROTFLMAO!!! Laughing so hard my sides hurt! Guess I'm not SO OLD and feeble that I can't stay a step or two ahead of you, young grasshopper. All in good, clean fun my young friend. Wise Jedi I am.
  8. EXCUSE ME? REALLY? I HAVE TO EXPLAIN THIS TO YOU, Mr. MARTIN FAN??????? Follow closely ... and ... carefully. 1. Mark Martin drives the Number 55 car now. 2. Casey Kahne drives the Number 5 car now. 3. So, are you MartinFan55 or KahneFan5? Kids! Sheeeeesh!

  10. 2010? I already have the May/June 2010 issue. I didn't see Tim Boyd's Super Bee Camino or Marcos' Impala on it. Whadddup wit dat?
  11. Yikes! Busted. Hey, wait 'til you hear my new news!!!
  12. I really appreciate THAT part, Harry! No longer bottom feeders, eh? I'll have to start posting some trucks now. I was too afflicted with negative vertigo to go way down there in the basement ...
  13. At present, mine looks like a rolling running chassis and a garage full of parts.
  14. Very cool stuff, Ron! Both the woody and the Jeep and of course, their respective boards!!
  15.  Okay. What can I say, Martinfan55?
  16. Not 'til July. It's still June over here in this part of town!
  17. Yeah, but it's always coool where I am!
  18. Anybody can glue plastic together. Die cast really tests your metal.
  19. Allow me to chime in, too. Kudos, Harry. Good job! It IS arranged much better and more user-friendly. (Regardless of my never-ending El Camino/Ranchero Loophole Harping.)
