  1. Nice. Big wheels look good on this old phat Phord.
  2. 5,000 posts. So when does my commemorative watch arrive?
  3. Sweeet!
  4. That is bodaciously bargealicious!!
  5. Light bars are available, but not the style that was included in the Force 440 kit.
  6. Thanks. Nice build, looks good! Thanks for posting it!
  7. Oh, wow. Lorenzo! Wild. Thanks for sharing this very creative and imaginative build with us!
  8. The hood and hood hinges look heavy ... like die cast. The headlamps have that heavy-dc-mounting-pin look. But I'm not familiar with the plastic kits, the die cast kits, or the assembled die cast offerings, so I can't definitively say.
  9. Some washes in the right places (wheels, engine, for example) will go a long way to making this an even better looking model!
  10. The graphics on the Chevy are interesting. Want to see it when it's done.
  11. Do you really need mirrors on a Mustang? You just have to keep your windshield clear. Everyone will be AHEAD of you!
  12. Nice job, Tom. Looks like one of those old U-Haul renters.
  13. Wow! Highly impressive. I'll just have to watch your build ... it's way out of my league financially, at least until/unless I win the lottery.
  14. Nice looking, Michael. But it appears the hood doesn't fit the body well. Is that a resin hood and a die cast body? I didn't know they did the '65 in die cast until I happened upon one yesterday. Still, despite the hood misfit ... nice looking model!
  15. Now that's KEWL!! Where did you source the windshield and top? Nice concept.
  16. Nice job. 1:1 conny kit spare hinges rearward to allow trunklid to open, but hinges forward for normal storage ~ resulting in the spare laying forward at a more eye-pleasing angle. (I'm surprised the mods left this modified die cast on the plastic side of the tracks.)
  17. Nice graphics for the Camaro. I hadn't planned on getter another Camaro kit (have MANY), but those decals alone will be worth the price of admission!
  18. Pictures? Anyone? Pictures? When my plastic pusher approached me about a pre-order, I got the impression it was a 2-pr set of slicks. I thought the price a little high, considering the previous release of slicks in multiple pairs. Guess I missed the boat. Pictures?
  19. The Griswold Family Truckster gone bad!
  20. Uhhhhhhh ... i'd be REALLY careful here. Drain clearing/cleaning products are EXTREMELY caustic. Far more than oven cleaners or Super Clean and its ilk. My Haz-Mat training tells me the extra health risk just wouldn't be worth it. Stick with the safer stuff, it's hot enough. Besides, what are you going to save? Ten or fifteen minutes?
  21. Absolutely amazing, John. Every time I think you've topped out, you come back with an even more incredible build than before. I'm still shaking my head over the Bentley ... and now this! By the way. All the heavy commercial builders in the Southwest want to thank you for sending this model to your dad in Florida. They said they didn't want to face it on the table at Desert Scale Classic 9!
  22. You're right, Terry ... not THAT wide!! Most pickups of that era (can't say I'm familiar with the Ford you're replicating, so I'm talking in general terms here) don't have seats that meet the door panels (as your model's interior tub reflects). There was generally some distance between the door and the seat's sides. Having said that, here's how I would fix your dilemma: I would cut the door panels away from the tub's floor, seat and back panel, then use thin sheet plastic to create sides for the seat, then glue styrene strip (of sufficient width to close the gap between the beginning tub and the body) to each open side of the tub, then rejoin the door panels to the widened tub/floor. The end result would be the tub would be wide enough to match the body's interior opening and you'd have a more prototypical space between the inner door panels and the seat. Just one idea ... and my 2centavos worth. Worthy project! Model on!
