  1. But don't post any pictures of girls.
  2. Don't ask. You don't want to offend the flower-power set.
  3. Definitely worthy of a magazine spread.
  4. Just don't post a pic of Jennifer Love Hewitt.
  5. Hey, when I goof, I make up for it BIG!
  6. Hey, G! I edited my original post. Can you tell the difference? Forgive me?
  7. LOL! I just knew all you Nevadans ALREADY KNEW! It's those other guys that have to be told!
  8. Terry, Here's a Moon-inspired build utilizing a resin station wagon rather than the pickup. This was built by a friend, Harold Oswald. He is another member of Moonlight Modelers and we had a contest theme of 'Moon-light Racing.' This build won all the marbles in the club contest and was a Top 12 Pick at the Goodguys Model Car Show. Good luck with your build; you're off to a great start!! It is certainly an attention-grabbing trio!
  9. Wow. Looking great. Better get some tarnish on those NOS lines before we start thinking there's some NEW parts in there!!
  10. Harry seems to be MIA. Maybe he's in the principal's office. PS: He'll probably come back with some kind of lame excuse, like earning a living or something.
  11. Lanny debuted the 1st stage of this diorama (the square with the office) at Goodguys SOUTHWEST NATIONALS Model Car Show in Scottsdale last November. It was the winner of the Peoples' Choice Award. It was one of 226 entries and it drew nearly 1/4 of all the Peoples Choice ballots cast.
  12. Seriously? Did Tom Carter get to you? Harry. Really? When did this become a rule? It's not in the Board Rules and Guidelines and it hasn't been applied or enforced before very, very recently. What up? Is it just because SH and SA forums don't allow it? This has been the one place we could look for fresh, new products instantly rather than having to wait for print publications, word of mouth, or smoke signals. I really don't think marketing has been a significant factor or percentage of board useage, has it? Thanks for educating me. NOTE: Not being a smart-AlexBaldwin; just wanna know about the big change.
  13. Quick calendar/events note for modelers in NV, AZ, soCAL, NM, UT, west TX: Hey! It's time for the annual Spring Fling Plastic Model Flea Market in Phoenix! Next Saturday (March 19, 2011) at the Postal Workers Social Club hall, 3720 W. Greenway Road, Phx, from 8:30am to 1:30pm. Admission is only $3 to attend and scavenge the area's biggest and best swap meet for car modelers and military modelers! See you there!
  14. Lyle, Not really a big surprise. You just captured the spirit of the 60's mild custom and presented it so very well! Your model has the 'gotcha' factor that grabs people faster and better than superdetailing can. There's nothing wrong with well-engineered, super-detailed, and painstakingly crafted models, it's just that every once in a while, a simple build captures imaginations like nothing else! Congratulations on demonstrating that concept so well. Cheers!
  15. They look like regular old ordinary common utility knife blades. Interesting tool! Buy one, Mike. So I can borrow it from you!
  16. Lanny is a true junkyard artist! Each of the cars and trucks in this scene is a stand-alone masterpiece in and of itself. The more you look at this diorama, the more you see; the more you see, the more you want to look at it! When I grow up, I wanna be able to build beaters like Lanny does!
  17. Nice!! Looking very good. Bring it home, Chris!
  18. Hang in there! Finishing up an old, stalled project is a noble cause. I know. I have many. You may be inspiration for many of us!
  19. Suggested retail has been indicated as around $70. Unless that has recently changed.
  20. Very nice! Shame to waste it or risk it on a slot track.
  21. Saweeeeet!
  22. Looking good.
