  1. Wow! Thanks for sharing this with us.
  2. Nice looking buildup, Greg! Can't wait to see the finished product.
  3. Thank you, Art! LOL. Beautiful artwork, Art. What do the decals look like? Hint, hint. Just never satisfied, huh?
  4. Beautiful! Outstanding job!
  5. Apparently Aussie beer causes you to repeat yourself. BTW - I agree with your assessment of Buttwiper ... I'm a Coors man when I'm not drinking Fat Tire.
  6. This is going to be very interesting. Love that art deco look!
  7. Another sweet one, John! Thanks for sharing it with us.
  8. Beautiful! Don't know how I missed it previously. Beautiful!
  9. Great project. Smokey's cars have been under-represented. 'Bout time!
  10. I saw those, too. Picked up a package, but had not gotten around to using them for anything yet. Your pix show a great use for them! Good show.
  11. Okay, so what does 'waffles' have to do with Gremlins?
  12. What he said! I have two kits winging their way to me now, but I'm impatient! Art has one now.
  13. I have to agree with Ken! The police Chargers are exceptional kits. Should be the gold standard.
  14. Sorry to have to update this thread regarding our friend, Bob Peeples, with the following information. Bob lost his battle with leukemia and pneumonia on Friday (March 11, 2011). For those of you who sent him a card, note, or message during his hospitalization, please know that he was cheered ~ and true to his humble nature ~ surprised by your showing of support. He had not realized how many friends he had. He was unable to complete his plastic passion of many years, his meticulously accurate scratchbuilt replica of Shelby Cobra Daytona, chassis number CSX-2061. We've lost a great friend and modeling talent. See the link for service arrangements and memorial information. Bob Peeples Memorial page RIP, Bob. We miss you, friend.
  15. Still looking good!
  16. That's always been an issue with the Studey kit. It obviously has to do with the engineering they had to build into it in order to have the poseable front wheels ... given the state of the art back in the 60's when the kit was designed. (They needed a lot of room under the engine oil pan for the pivot piece. It was either jack the engine up, shave the oil pan, or stack all that stuff downward ... I have no idea why they didn't just shave the oil pan!) The grafted crossmember idea is great for customs, competition cars, street machines, prostreet, etc., but doesn't much help the replica stock builder. I think the pivot mechanism for the working steering has to be eliminated, the frame slightly modified, and the crossmember modified in order to get a proper stance with the stock appearance. Guess they figured few Loewy coupes would be built factory stock!!! LOL.
  17. Nice.
  18. Ditto everything that Terry said. Only thing I do differently is that I run it at 95degrees for resin bodies or parts that I am unsure of, stability-wise. Don't want to warp anything. Absolutely love it!!
  19. Awright you guys! Grab your spray cans and meet in the middle of the street at high Noon; we'll have a shoot-out to decide who's right and who's ... sprayed.
  20. Actually, it can help 'anchor' BMF - by coating over gaps and overlaps thereby reducing the potential for snags that might peal BMF off.
