Another one for my stash

If doing the AH (I think it's a W-923) I've mostly seen the following: • single air horn • no visor • single stack (passenger side) • single air cleaner (passenger side) • putty (or glue) in the holes for driver side stack. • Driver side luberfiner • extra gas tank, driver side • some variation of green or red on radiator -
This just caught my eye… https://www.megahobby.com/products/kenworth-w900-dump-truck-1-25-revell.html

Nice, had no idea either. Does that mean that I should pick up one and paint it alpine green, or attempt to repaint the red one I did long ago? The one @Mr mopar posted above is one of my originals. I searched high and low for correct engine color but eventually caved and went with box art color. @mackinac359's post here settles that one!

Thanks for sharing this! Great to see them paying attention to / listening to what builders are truly looking for.

Thanks Brian! That's super helpful. I'm not sure why I didn't think "dog house in cab" but the reference photo is the perfect resource. Given that, I feel more confident about putting in both radiator & engine (per instructions) and modifying the cab firewall as needed to scoot closer to the hood line.

Hi everyone, Wondering is anyone has any tips on building the White 4000? I got lucky and finally landed a resin White 4000 resin hood. The hood is if course, shorter than the White Road Boss one from the kit. I'm looking for advice on how to handle the engine? I don't think the Cummins will fit (maybe remove there radiator?) but the "NO engine" option isn't ideal either. Open to feedback/suggestions here. Thanks in advance!! Steve

Hi all, Finally got around to posting this one. It's certainly a great time to finish those projects. They only made around 200 of these trucks in 1976, and I wanted to capture the history along with challenge myself doing a simple snap kit. Kit: Revell Kenworth W-900 Aerodyne (85-1507) Represents: 1976 Kenworth VIT 200 Bicentennial Paints: Tamiya White (TS-26), Tamiya Gold (TS-21) and Tamiya Blue (TS-15) for interior Extras: AMT tires, rims and quarter fenders Revell Germany W900 dashboard (it has more details and CB) Double Take Replicas resin W900 visor (the only one I found to fit this kit) ModelTruckin' Bicentennial decals Thanks for looking! I think I already posted this, but here it is again... The reflective tape came from PSF Hobbies (they have an eBay store), and the packaging looks like these (see link) with the "Lin-O-tape" logo on them: https://www.megahobby.com/brands/Line-O-Tape.html Good luck!
