  1. Don't tow trucks seem to take forever to come when you want one? ?
  2. In Massachusetts there is the Franklin & South Manchester HO scale layout built by George Selios tha's been featured in several hobby magazines over the decades. One can visit during an Open House day.
  3. This was at the BSAAC show in at the Endicott Estate in Dedham, MA. They always have an interesting variety there.
  4. IIRC I saw this creation once, twenty years ago. I wonder what became of it.
  5. In Pennsylvania, there was the beloved Roadside America attraction, built to nominally 3/8" to the foot scale to go with the larger tinplate trains Lionel was selling at the time, but the trains were eventually replaced with Lionel 0 Gauge. On top of that scale difference, numerous 1:25 scale cars populated the streets. Unfortunately during the pandemic the attraction closed. On the other hand, another longtime attraction, Choo Choo Barn, also in PA, has changed hands, but reportedly it's supposed to continue operation. It too utilizes Lionel O Gauge trains.
  6. Low-loader combo seen in 2004.
  7. Half-sized Caterpillar loader seen in 2007.

  9. Fred Heim built a varied selection of model types. I first came upon his work at a truck show in the early 2000's where he had a half-sized Peterbilt with trailer. He went on to build a low-loader and construction machinery in that scale. What I didn't know for some time is he also built lovely model boats and ships as well. https://craftsmanshipmuseum.com/artisan/fred-heim/fred-heim-photos/
  10. Another tractor brand I'm not familiar with. I hope they'd consider a 1920s Fordson.
  11. Full-sized replica of a Frank Lloyd Wright design on display at the Buffalo Transportation Pierce Arrow Museum in Buffalo, NY, as seen in 2018.
  12. And then there was this huge unique handmade specimen. (Note finger for scale!)
  13. Shouldn't that be "meanah" ? ?
  14. Unfortunately, the core group got tired of putting the MassCar show on, and by 2015 or '16 that was discontinued. Another group puts on a show and contest at the Taunton, MA venue that had hosted the MassCar event. Coincidentally some MassCar members also belong to this other group. IIRC that show is coming up next month. I have to wonder how it is that clubs like Classic Plastic can keep going this long, while my club got old and tired.
  15. Considering "decal" is a shortened French word, "decalcomanie", does it matter? ?
  16. My own club (MassCar) ran into problems finding a venue simply for monthly meetings, and this contributed to it folding just before the pandemic. When I joined in the early 2000's we were meeting in a church. We then moved to a series of venues that were free. Rent is expensive.
