Thanks Gary your so right they do. Although these were not same stripe package scheme as the real truck was I always thought the truck in real life would look good with the famous GM tri paint scheme in red. It had red stripes but they were more a scrolling type kinda hard to explain real didn’t make the truck look good.

Because Ertl put out better quality of Model kits. But on them old AMT kits that’s how we learned to build and conqueror challenges that makes you a better modeler. -

The Astro and Titan are the same way you have to lower the tower and adjust it right or left. The best fit are the Ertl 4070A and 4070Bs I’ve found out. -

Jeff these always got me when I was younger most of the time I glued into place at the bottom of the interior. Now they have more experience I try to adjust the height and it still doesn’t work sometimes hope you figure this out -

The cab is made by the Corporation cab company they made many cabs for various truck manufacturers. I found this out when I restored my real Autocar Truck about 30 years ago. -
I hope you get too there a neat truck. The 2 stick tranny is not as bad as you think it is just don’t over think it. On the one I drove I liked where the dome lights were one big dome light in each corner it like that little cab up very well.

Jeff I appreciate the complement. I enjoy taking pics of my models outside in natural lighting it brings a lot of details out. I’ve had this idea about putting the Ertl Dayton’s on for years just never did it. It was a fun build glad you like it. -

Thanks for the complement I appreciate it. I’m sure it will you won’t be disappointed with the kit. It’s has so many paint scheme options you’ll like it and I’m sure you will build it into a nice kit. -

Thanks for the complement I appreciate it. I would rather spend more time on painting and decaling a model than all the super in depth details because once it’s painted it becomes the model unless you tell someone it’s there you’ll never noticed it looks like it was part of the mold. On the other hand matching decals and a good paint scheme always steals the show and is a eye catcher. I’ve always try to take my pics outside to give a natural look and no hiding mistakes when it’s outside seems everything shows up. -
