  1. Going to be pretty good sized.
  2. That sounds very cool! Does sound like a challenge. Thanks for the heads up on the glass. Here she sits now!
  3. Correct, it is a nice kit. I think the bed could have been engineered a bit better, but it wouldn’t be fun if it just fell together. Anyway, here’s the ol girl in primer. Fixed some body issues, going to hit it with AK rust primer and let it sit. Not the bed sides though, obviously!
  4. That is a bummer. The bed is just too many pieces. It should just be a tub and then you hang the tenders and tailgate like other kits. There are 8 pieces. And the fit is not great. Instructions are vague as well!
  5. Looks like a nice little kit. Can’t wait to see it done!
  6. Hopes for the missing badge on the passenger side. Also got the panel lines re-scribed.
  7. Very nice. You have a great eye for details!
  8. Scenes unlimited makes a very nice 8 lug wheel for GM full size trucks.
  9. Wow, that engine is beautiful.
  10. Hot Magenta sounds good! Like the work so far.
  11. The bed in this kit is really cumbersome to put together! But I got one side done. Will need a little clean up.
  12. Oooh looks very nice!
  13. Started messing around with this. I had an old diorama that I made but threw it out. Started doing some painting. The wood is just bass wood from HL.
  14. I's thumbin' through the want ads in the Shelby County Tribune when this classified advertisement caught my eye. It said, "Take imme-di-ate delivery on this '57 Chevrolet half-ton pickup truck. Will sell or swap for a hide-a-bed and thirty-five bucks. Call One-four-oh, ring two, and ask for Bob." Started on a new project while I wait for paint for my GMC. I was inspired by C.W. McCall and his song “Classified.” So I figured I would build what the old truck might have looked like. I even have a Brillo box full of rusty parts. Wheels are from the AMT 57 bel air. I always envisioned the truck in the song being a burnt out orange color that had faded over time.
  15. Stripped the paint and started over. Waiting for some supplies so started on a ‘57 Cameo. See it in its own thread.
  16. I understand, just excited. And I know he’s busy. I guess I was just hopeful to get mine in before the deadline. As is the case with most resin, if I see it, I try to buy it right away. I will wait until April and try again. No disrespect to him or his business ?
  17. I sent my order before the deadline, unfortunately.
  18. I’ve sent him 2 emails via the address on his site but no response.
  19. How long does it normally take to hear back from Chief Joseph?
  20. Will be buying the 935.
  21. Received the cab in good condition! Thank you so much @Pete68
  22. How does this paint look? I’m struggling to get a nice smooth gloss finish. This is Tamiya gloss red thinned almost 1:1
