  1. Thanks KJ and Jeff for your replies!
  2. I'm gathering information to potentially build a Brockway conventional tractor. The A.I.T Brockway 3 series kit would be the cab used. What readily available kit donor would work best for a frame and axles? I'd like to replicate the twelve-cylinder Detroit powered trucks I've seen on Youtube. I don't know a great deal about Brockway trucks or diesel trucks in general. I have built truck tractors in the past, so I'm familiar with the general process. All input, advice and opinions are welcome! Thanks!
  3. Stellar work! The Camaro is nearly impossible to distinguish from a full scale car.
  4. That is truly outstanding work! I have a real appreciation for Mopar police cars. My family owned both a '72 Fury and a '75 Gran Fury. Ex state police cars.
  5. That engine detail is fantastic, as is the entire truck. Lots of neat details and finishes to see!
  6. I recently resumed building after my usual summer hiatus. I simply pushed my older projects to the periphery of my table. It's really a disaster in 1/25 scale
  7. Thanks Nick! I have some red plastic to paint, so I'll be using that method.
  8. Nick, what brand or type of silver would you recommend? I used spray cans, so I hope it's something available that way.
  9. Really stunning and authentic! These old racers have such a unique character and an aura about them. You captured it perfectly.
  10. I think the point you're making is this: It is possible for kit manufacturers to offer detailed tires without the costs/conflicts of branding. Correct? :) )
  11. Agreed! I'd like to see more of these beauties.
  12. A bright yellow AMC Spirit with Cragars and a black hood scoop. Looked pretty good, actually.
  13. I'm planning to use Citrus yellow on a 70 Torino Cobra. Trying to get close to Medium Ivy Metallic. I'd appreciate some opinions from builders with knowledge of Fords.
  14. I would gladly buy almost any quality 70-76 C-body Plymouth or Dodge full kit. It would need a chassis, interior and glass for it to work for me. I just don't have the means to source the parts for a body-only kit.

    Mopar meets Hakosuka... Very cool!
  16. Outstanding work! Incredible and accurate detail.
  17. I agree, Casey. And the cover has eleven bolts although Dana covers have ten. Still, it was a jewel back in the day when all I had seen was those awful Monogram Mopar axles.
  18. The AMT 69 GTX and the 70 Super Bee have respectable Dana 60 axles as well. I don't have a 68 Road Runner for reference, but I assume it does as well. Axle cover link http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/attachments/f8/1353617d1400580627t-identify-axles-transmission-axlechart.jpg
  19. Outstanding patina!
  20. This is one beautiful truck! Great choice on the big Detroit. Superb attention to detail.
  21. Hi Mark! I once owned a 70 Charger myself. It was a basket case and it never ran under it's own power. My collection is mostly half built kits, but I hope to finish something to post on the forum:)
  22. Hello Carl, and thanks for the welcome! What sort of Mopar do you own?
  23. double post
  24. Hi Mark! I have a soft spot for the early Mopar front-drivers. I owned a couple from new back in the eighties. I appreciate the welcome!
  25. I'll enthusiastically second 'Mule Variations' by Tom Waits. At least 6 fine songs on that one. I'll also add 'Into the Pandemonium' by Celtic Frost. It's considered metal, but there's also an operatic/orchestral flair to it.
