  1. Not sure! I'd like to know too actually.... @Modlbldr could you possibly shed light on this?
  2. Well... you see... she like to have my company. Which after being together for 10 years, if she wants me to hangout with her still I must be doing something pretty okay. So I dont complain. So in order to build and share a space, I built on a sheet of foam board. Which actually worked out great for 2 years. Then it happened. ?‍♂️ oops. That super sucks that someone would maliciously do that. Seems uncalled for. I dig the little motorbikes! Almost reminds me of my 1:1 ninja.
  3. Wheel arches are different too. Is that what you meant by the quarters?
  4. Looks like I lied. The body line on the '90 is thinner than the '80
  5. I figured the revell bronco and the f250 would be pretty compatible. I know that amt wouldn't work as I've built the f150 shortbox but converted it to 4wd using the revell bronco front axle with some tweaking.the amt and the revell models have slightly different body line not only because of scale but because the amt kits are post '91 era and the lines are slightly different.
  6. We've all seen beautiful works of art. We've followed builds. We've seen enginuity<-sp? ?‍♂️ anyways we've seen some incredible builds. Both along the way and finished in all their glory. But.... what about those builds that you had such great plans for? And then something tragic happens. And your kit takes a very drastic turn.... let's see some "you're not alone" accidents. I'll start with this 300zx I planned on some p.e. parts on. It was my 2nd non revell/amt kit. And my wife stepped on it on accident. She felt so bad she cried. Which made me feel bad that she felt so bad lol. These things happen! I told her it was my fault not hers.
  7. Really torn between red, blue, or green/tan/gold. Not going to lie I kinda want to get a bronco and the dually f150 and kitbash them like this '90
  8. I posted this in the questions section but didnt get anything on it so.... show and tell time!!!!! So... if ya got an '80's bronco.... revell... mpc.... post em up. I want to see how different or the same they are! I'll have mine eventually. It hasn't shipped yet. But I bought an mpc. I did the revell 25 years ago. No longer have it unfortunately.
  9. I built the '80 bronco about 20 years ago. It was the revell version. I loved it. But there were things I hated about it. Like the issues it shares with its sister model the F100 ranger. The firewall that isnt anywhere near complete. The suspension as a whole. The body was great. The top fit like a glove. The truck looked good sitting there.... Well.... fast forward. I dont have the bronco anymore unfortunately. But I did build the F100.... and..... I just purchased the MPC 80's bronco. Can anybody give me some insight to the difference between revels version and the mpc kit? It's not shipped to me yet so I cant compare.
  10. I thought I had an f body obsession lol.... I love this!
  11. Awesome builds everyone!!!! Cant tell you how excited I was to sign on after a couple months and seeing this brought back from 2017!!!!! Hope to see more beautiful f bodies posted!!! And thank you to all that have. Your rides look great!!!!!!!
  12. Even has valve stems in the rims!
  13. Your attention to detail is amazing! I love what you've done with the brake booster. Not just the lines but the whole booster itself! Great work all around! Are the valve covers resin?
  14. I'm actually rattle canning and polishing the gloss. I dont like that route but that's what he wanted. I was thinking of alclad too. And since it's already going to have a coat of gloss black, it already has the base coat in theory. I havent used BMF before but do like the idea of polishing it and blending it to make it seemless.
  15. It's a project I'm working on for my friend. He has an audi s4 he's done some work on. He asked me about painting his dash. I told him what I know to get a decent job. I paint plenty of plastics obviously. So he went to it.... well needless to say he ended up painting everything. He got real hung up on his second coat and when he pulled off the masking he didnt like what he saw so he blasted the whole thing gloss black. He said he was just going to buy a new one. I said dude you drive a new audi... you aren't just going to pick up a new dash unless you pay an arm and a leg and possibly 18 teeth.... so I took it from him. I need some advice on painting a silver trim on the gauge housing. As you can see I started going around with a molotow pen but it doesnt transfer smooth enough. I've stripped the paint off and sanded and primed. Painted the face panel but need to smoother it out and shoot a second coat on that. Then I sanded and primed the gauge bezel and GPS housing. The bezel will be gloss and the GPS will be semi gloss.
