  1. Reforming the wheel wells.
  2. Steve, I have no idea, all the parts form this build are out of my spare parts. I do know that the front suspension is C-3 Corvette, but the suspension and the crossmember are from two different kits. Both the front and rear end still need work to mount the wheels.
  3. I have the newer Revell kit and the one with opening doors. I have big plans for the first one. Hint: blue with flames, and part tank!
  4. I am going to reshape the wheel wells. The Revell car will NOT line up 1:25 to 1:24 problem. I think I might mark the curve with a curve drafting tool and cut it in by hand. I am going to leave the leading edge of the wheel well alone and just reshape the trailing edge.
  5. It's starting to look like a car. I hope to have the wheels on tonight. I found some Mickey-T cheater slicks for the rear and some Goodyear Polyglass for the front. The wheel backs are from funny car front runners. I want to add plug wires and fuel injection lines to the engine also.
  6. Glad everything is still there, I'm looking forward to seeing it built.
  7. Crossmember for the Corvette front suspension
  8. That thing is sweet!!! The bat fins really fit that Lambo. I will be following this build. One question: Are you keeping the V-12, or will she be jet powered?
  9. Yes there was, and this episode was called "King of the Road". A young Brad Pitt played the bad guy. He wants to bring Garrett, a retired street racer out. So Brad Pitt (Billy) ends up dating, then kidnapping Garrett's daughter to get him to finally race. I'm not going to give away the ending if you haven't seen it.
  10. I have a question: What shifter is he running in the 57? I can't seem to find one like it on the net. (at 4.45 on the video). It's an auto with a trigger, round shaft with what appears to be a ball knob. I would like a better pic of one so I can replicate it.
  11. New rear end, coil overs with ladder bars.
  12. Custom fabricated EFI tunnel ram
  13. Yeah I should, I chose the 350 out of a 33 Ford rod kit for the headers. They seem to match the ones hanging down on the real car. It didn't have a 4 on the floor either. It was a ratchet shifted automatic!
  14. New frame and engine. (ignore the intake, that's how I dug it out). I'm ditching the bent and broken straight axle for a Corvette front suspension.
  15. Tear down! This car is a mess, but it's still better off than Brad Pitt's 69 Chevelle. lol
  16. Hey kideees, I call this little nugget "King of the Road" I got it at the DAAM show as a wreck, it's the 1980 issue with the "universal" frame. Now to bring it back from the DEAD EEAAAHAHAHAHAHahahahaaaaaaa.
  17. Here is the stand I will be using, though it will be modified before it is done. Thunderhawk isn't sitting high enough and too level to get a good look at the underbelly. I've also started prepping the body for paint.
  18. I have turned those air ducts around, they line up with the scoops in the belly now, and the way that the air would move works better now. I am also adding an auxiliary fuel tank between the air ducts and the console. I'll post a pic as soon as I get it all back together.
  19. Here is the almost complete interior. The ducts for the jets are engine air ducts off a Countach. I turned the steering column into a pilot yoke.
  20. I don't get much time in the model room these days chasing my little one around, but I Thunderhawk is back on the bench! I am really glad to see there is still interest in my build. I'll post pics real soon. I am fabricating the duct work from the scoops on the underbelly to the jets. I've turned the steering wheel into a flight yoke. I also have a new display stand from a 1:43 SR-71 Blackbird. I was undecided on the wheels, but I am going to stick to the Centerlines that came on the car.
  21. Here's my current project. It's going into my Poison Pinto F/C slot car
