  1. Hi! Anyone remember seeing this? The guy was kind enough to put it under my name! So I kind of made my first NNL east Picture from Gary Kulchock album. Thanks,
  2. Cool! That looks very nice! Something you don't see very frequently.....
  3. Mark, Put down the Faux Fabrix, slowly walk away, nobody gets hurt.....
  4. It is a 1964 Mecom Hussein MK1. No relationship to Saddam as far as I know AJ Foyt drove it in 1964
  5. Beautiful! That is actually my Ferrari racing grail kit. (Funny my grails are divided in categories) IMO that is one of the most beautiful race cars ever built. I would love to do the Ecurie Belge yellow car. Thanks,
  6. Hello, Yes, I know there are plenty of fire extinguishers in the aftermarket and many kits. But my "overcomplicaditis" made me make my own. Machined aluminum body and top, brass nozzle, aluminum foil handle. An aluminum strip, a parts box decal, some superglue and VIOLA!!!!! About half an inch tall. This is supposed to go between the seats of the GT3 but I like it so much I'm having second thoughts What do you think? Thanks,
  7. Ayala: I had a big "Churrasco" steak reseved to send to you but Simon aka "the vaccum cleaner" got to it first We are already planning the next one
  8. Question on the '67 Corvette coupe reissue: From the box art pic (Quite ugly box art with a C6 instrument cluster as background BTW) Will it have minilite wheels? I see a Grand Sport style custom hood and sidepipes as well. Was there a test build sample? Thanks,
  9. Bill, First of all, Not only I'd be honored to have you in my house: I'd get mad if you don't The Sting Ray racer is a loooong term project. Wilmer has been working on it for years. A bit more tweaking is needed, and that is just the body. He hasn't even considered the rest yet. So I guess that between that and my SR-2, we can retire waiting Thanks,
  10. What a great paint job!
  11. Very Cool Mike! I hope to finish mine within a week or so. Thanks,
  12. GREAT work. Beautiful!
  13. Hello, For those of us in PR who couldn't go to NNL East, we just had a great modeling time in my house. Although only 5 modelers showed up, they brought over 35 models, so combined with all of mine, we had over 50 models on display! We had our own show, especially with the in progress projects. GREAT "show and tell" opportunity. Checking out my hobby room and projects, trading ideas and tips, great food, my Corvette library, videos, pictures.... We had a BLAST. While not an NNL or local show by a long shot, it was GREAT! Here are some pics: From left to right: Ruben Tirado, me (at the controls), Alex, Wilmer and Simon. Missing from the picture: Hamilton who arrived after this pic was taken. Trophies were awarded to all participants This is the tuners trophy In progress projects were great: And finished models as well: A Gazillion more pics and details here: http://puertoriconet.com/images/BBQ/ We had a blast. Definitely worth repeating. Thanks,
  14. Very nice weathering! and very glad to see you here..... Thanks,
  15. Hello, Interiors are almost done. Still pending: I want to machine a fire extinguisher to go between the seats. Here are the seats completed, before the rest was added: And here are the completed interiors: Other than the flocking, soldered brass roll bar, leather wrapped foam core pads (surgical tape), photoetch seatbelt set, scratchbuilt door handles, carbon fiber console, computer printed GT3 logos, templated and eliminated back seats, and the key in the ignition, it is a box stock interior Thanks,
  16. Long time ago I was diagnosed and I'm a certified case of "overcomplicaditis" In my case I have this particular obsession with super-ultra detailing stuff that is not seen.... Enjoy the madness!!! Thanks,
  17. By the way, I found a video of the making of that commercial: The last part of that video is the best. Again great sound. Thanks,
  18. This is what I think they are: BUT there is no accuracy guarantee written or implied The first one: I think it is a Ferrari 500/125 from 1951 The second one looks like a F1 512 from 1965 Third one is a 1970 312B (IMO, the 312 both the F1 and the 312 PB World sports Car championship racer had one of the best sounding engine in car history) The next one (in Rio de Janeiro Brasil) looks like a '97 310 or a '98 300 (square side intakes) Then there's a quick glimpse of what I think is an F-2004 (side pods) in the Grand Hotel hairpin in Monaco, setting off the alarm of a Ferrari 612 Scaglietti, and the last one in the gas station has me puzzled. It looks like a 2004 or 2005 but I think it is NOT a 2006, (again side pods). I don't think it is the same as the one shown around Monaco, because the Monaco one has a big Vodafone decal on the side and the front wing is different. But the video is quite fast so it is hard to tell for sure. Great commercial by the way! Love the sound.... Is it possible to download and save a youTube video? Thanks,
  19. Click! My eyes hurt after more than 1 hour on each.... Thanks,
  20. It took me more than 10 minutes to be able to type! I'm still laughing so hard it hurts! Sorry Bob, but you made my day.
  21. WOW! What a great box art! I couldn't care less for the subject, yet the box art is soooooo good I may get one....
  22. Cool project! I'll follow up closely!!!!!
  23. Nice on both. That Camaro is looking GREAT! Love it! Thanks,
  24. Hello, Leather wrapped foam core padding, Simpson cam lock 5 point harness attached to the roll bar itself. As a certified diagnosed patient of "overcomplicaditis", the belts are prototypically and correctly threaded. It took me about 4 hours to do one seat. It breaks my heart to think this will barely be seen after final assembly... One seat down one to go, or is it 5 points down 5 more to go? EDIT: Ooops, this was supposed to go under the GT3 thread... oh well...
