  1. Beautiful! Great job on this classic. What kit is it?
  2. Very nice and different. A very elegant ride indeed....
  3. Cool! That's going to be very nice! I have a Revell F430 in the workbench and it will be Cobra Colors Blue Mirabeau metallic. I saw this one in Road Atlanta and I fell in love. I also have some aftermarket wheels for it. Thanks, Ismael "the Corvette guy who also likes Ferraris" Gonzalez
  4. Hello, While not exactly Pulitzer contenders, I wrote a few "How to" articles many years ago for ScaleCorvettes.com. These were done over 6 or 7 years ago, but I hope they help a bit. http://www.scalecorvettes.com/hints.htm Thanks,
  5. Hello, Simon, Ayala, Barbo, Efrain (bestfreshman), Fanfan, Abraham, Carlos De Jesus, Rogelio, Daniel Gabriel, Mike and all other forum members from Puerto Rico and those form elsewhere who want to join..... I'm planning to have a modelers BBQ get together in my house: Sunday March 25, from about 10AM onwards. This is just to have a great time and enjoy our hobby. I can setup a table or two for taking pictures of your models with my equipment, and the workbench can be available. But the focus will be on the sizzling steaks... and having fun Let me know so we can plan accordingly. For those of you up north, I really wish you can come. Who knows, this may be the start of a tradition. Regards,
  6. Abraham, Bienvenido! Nos vamos a quedar con esto!!!
  7. Nice color combo. What paint did you use on the top? Thanks,
  8. Very very nice. That's a subject you don't see very often. The last fuelie. Where is the fuelie setup from? Love it. Thanks,
  9. Hello! It's finally done. I was in some kind of a mini slump. So I used the opportunity to exercise the basics. This is a 100% box stock / spray can build. No flocking, no wires, no aluminum tubing, no nothing else other than paint and glue. The only "modification" was cutting the wheel mounting studs so the car would sit lower. Stance is everything. I have to admit I like it. Too bad I need to ship it back to the owner. I had so much fun doing this curbside box stock that I will do 2 more before going back to my beloved detailed Corvettes. I really recommend all of you to do this every once in a while. As usual, your comments are appreciated. Sorry for so many pics, I couldn't help it Revell Germany Ferrari 612 Scaglietti Plastikote Medium Blue lacquer spray Tamiya clear Hi, I'm blue and here is Goldy, my evil twin brother: You can see Goldy sits a hint lower. Here you can see the difference in the hoods. Curbside vs Full Engine detail. Here are some "studio" shots: Thanks,
  10. Carlos, Bienvenido! Tremendo Chevy. Otro boricua a bordo!!! Saludos,
  11. I like your brass job in this as well. Will the suspension and other components be brass as well? Thanks,
  12. That frame is VERY cool! I'm starting to play with brass soldering myself. The transmission and the shortened drive look interesting. I've never seen that. Thanks,
  13. I always liked that car, especially the color. What paint did you use on it?
  14. Nice job on that classic.....

    MY MODEL

Daniel, De mas esta decir que cuentas conmigo tambien......... Gracias,
  16. Very cool! I particularly love the lathe! The Coupe Devil is coming along nicely as well. Thanks,
  17. I'm cheap. I use old spray cans for bodies. I tape foam on the sides until the body fits snuggly. I also use masking tape inside the roof to hold it to the cap of the can. For smaller parts, usually tape them to a wood stick. If the part needs paint all around, I drill a small hole, superglue a piece of wire and hold it wth those great little office alligator clips. Thanks,
  18. Something else you need to consider is the lug nut size and pattern. A 1/18 wheel may look out of scale in a 1/25 car because the lug nuts would be too far apart, and the lug nuts themselves would be quite big. Thanks,
  19. I'm not sure I understand your question, but if you want to know what size it would be in another scale, just multiply the actual diameter by 24 or 25 whatever the scale you want. A 18" wheel in 1/18 is a 25 inch rim in 1/25 Thanks,
  20. Question from a tropical ignorant: How does that steers? Front only? diff braking in the back? That is wicked! Maybe it works in grass as well  Thanks,
  21. 7 mirrors? I only see 5 Just kidding. I had to say something but I ran out of words a long time ago about this build. So are the faces of the mirrors stainless steel? How about the round ones? Thanks,
