  1. You can start here: Google results http://images.google.com/images?svnum=10&a...amp;btnG=Search Thanks,
  2. As far as I know, Magnum always used the 308. The car was an important part of the series, so I don't think they would have changed it at the end. But I'm not 100% sure. Thanks,
  3. Modified DeSoto. 1930 or '31, not sure.
  4. That is PeterBrock's 1965 De Tomaso Sport 5000
  5. Hi Michael, Magnum's car was a 308, the predecessor of this one. The 328 replaced the 308 in 1985. Thanks,
  6. Not only the fin but the grille is located 10 inches away from the stock location while the fenders were extended 5 inches. The hood is longer as well and the ducts in the doors are functional, getting fresh air to the rear brakes
  7. HA! Low fin SR-2 The first incarnation of the car. It was painted purple afterwards (first pic) and un-officially called purple people eater, but that name is associated with another car. Actually the first picture is at Sebring '58, while Jim Jeffords owned it. That picture was taken by Jack Evans Knab. Leaning on the car is Augie Pabst. The guy looking backwards next to the driver's door is Jeffords. Serial number for the car in the last pics is:E56S002522. That's the Jerry Earl's car, son of Harley Earl.
  8. Wow! That turned out nice. Those wheels REALLY suit the car well.
  9. Changed the seatbelts to black. 100% Box stock. A new concept for me "Not mine, box stock, Not mine, box stock,Not mine, box stock" Thanks,
  10. I'm watching this very closely. It is such a cool idea....... I'd vote for the Bandit version
  11. That's cool! I've always been a Chevy guy but I was a fan of Bob Glidden.
  12. Started working on the interiors. Still have to work more on the carpeting.
  13. WOW Bob, That Caddy looks GREAT!!!
  14. Hello, Nothing like a box stock curbside to get the juices back flowing... Of course, my definition of box stock is a bit different I converted the headlights from a 1999 to a 2003 model year. Cobra Colors Porsche Cobalt blue. Still more color coats and clear pending. Thanks,
  15. My good friend Mr. Raymond Gallant! Welcome to our not so secret hideout! You'll LOVE IT in here. I'm very glad you joined. Thanks,
  16. WOW! The more I look the more things I notice. GREAT work!
  17. I know, I know what you are saying, "Yawn, another Corvette..." But it looks so much better than last year's.... Here's a pic of the 2007 Pace car: Atomic Orange convertible Last year was not bad, from the front wheel backwards, but the nose was... well, ugly. Thanks,
  18. Hello, I don't do commisioned work. But a good friend asked me to paint a model for him. Since I'm still in a car "slump" since November, I thought this could be a good therapy to get back into the groove. Not much progress but I polished the body. The chassis has been painted as well. Will work on the interiors next. Not the best lighting, but the color looks GREAT, especially in sunlight. Thanks,
  19. A good friend and my hobby mentor, asked me this question more than 15 years ago: "If you take a picture of it, does it looks real?" This question combines 2 of my hobbies: models and photography... Thanks,
  20. Hello, I also got my Hasegawa Ferrari 328 from HLJ along with the Cayman. As with the Cayman review: I am NOT a kits expert. I'm just a builder. I admire those who can tell problems and issues just by looking at the open box. But I can only make general comments about it. A japanese kit molded in white plastic HURRAY!!!! That says it all. Parts sprues are bagged together, with the clear parts bagged separately. Parts look nice, maybe not up to "Tamiya nice", but very nice nonetheless. However, there is a beautiful photoetch sprue and a nice decal sheet. It has far more parts than the Cayman S. The body looks great. Some minor cleanup will be in order, but nothing big. I haven't done any test fit at all so that's about it. Looks very good. This is a Ferrari that I think I'll build in red.... Thanks,
  21. Hello, I just got my Fujimi Porsche Cayman S from HLJ. I am NOT a kits expert. I'm just a builder. I admire those who can tell problems and issues just by looking at the open box. But I can only make general comments about it. As usual with Fujimi kits, parts sprues are bagged separately. Something that grabs your attention is the wheels: Beautiful wheels. Fujimi has a good reputation for their wheels and this is no exception. Sprues are beautifully molded with crisp details and no flash to be seen. The parts count is not that high, but then, the Cayman is a 1:1 Curbside as well The body looks to be accurate but I'm not an expert in that area. It is crisply engraved with no major mold lines. Minimal cleanup, if any, will be required. The only negative part is that it is molded in super bright red. Here are 2 pics of the body. That is not painted. That is just bare plastic out of the box, not even cleaned. You can almost get away without paint. But you have to be careful if you are doing it any other color. Overall I like it a lot. The question now is what color? I like yellow, silver and white...... hmmmmmmm Thanks,
  22. The Monogram '53 Corvette has the Blue flame six 235 (3 carbs) with 2 optional air cleaner assemblies: the 3 bullet style of '53 and the 2 round element used later in '54 (at least earlier releases: not sure about most recent ones) This is the '54 I built a gazillion years ago. More pics here: http://www.scalecorvettes.com/Corvette%20g...l54/black54.htm Thanks,
  23. Interesting! I'll be following up closely...
  24. It's called blue, one of the primary colors  Just kidding Plastikote Lacquer Metallic blue. (No, not Duplicolor, Plastikote) Harder to find (at least here) than chicken teeth.
  25. OK, box stock with some "interpretation" of the term No, not for Jose. He is now working on his own. I'm bugging him to actualy finish something. He has since started about 6. He quickly picked the bad habits instead of the good ones!
