  1. Thanks Zeb, I'll check on them. Thanks,
  2. Thumbs up on the headers.... Thanks,
  3. My research indicate this car had body color headlight buckets with chrome bezels instead of the otherwise common all chrome setup. Thanks,
  4. Wow Bill! That looks great and has held up all these years. Don't touch her! That's history right in front of you in 3D. Thanks,

Nice color scheme. Any problems with the build? That looks like a nice fitting kit. Thanks,
  6. Welcome to the forum!
  7. Hello, Just curious: Has there ever been a model of the 1948 Chevy Fleetmaster six-series? Yes, that was the Indy Pace car for 1948. Galaxie made the Aerosedan if I'm not mistaken. I have no idea if that could be used as a starting point. Thanks,
  8. Thanks Mike, For the wiring I used 2 different gauges of craft wire and the smallest are from discarded electronics equipment. That is my favorite part of this build so far. Thanks,
  9. To me the strong reflection on the metallic red paint gave it away. Having it been a model, the reflection would have been different. Thanks,
  10. Time well spent bonding my friend! time well spent! Congratulations!

    My sons models

Great job Brendan! I also started when I was 8. My son will be 8 soon and he has done a few snappers as well. Keep them in a safe place. As you get older and hopefully build many more, they will always bring back a smile. Thanks,
  12. Cool! Very interesting! I used Oro Chiaro in this custom 612ig. I agree, a very nice color! Thanks,
  13. Begining to look like something we recognize. Well, it looks like a dismantled stolen car Thanks,
  14. estoy barriendo! estoy barriendo!!!!!!!!! Ya!
  15. For the life of me I can't find where I wrote the formula! I mixed it 2 years ago for the Ferrari 612ig interior, and I had enough left for this project. I remember using Testor's Model Masters Dark tan, military brown, deep yellow and a touch of Chevy engine red. Unfortunately I can't find the ratios. I think I posted the formula on the Hobby Heaven board over 2 years ago and it was one of my last posts there. As you can see I did many trials and batch 12 was the final one. Thanks,
  16. Hi, This looks more comfortable than my couch, but if you get some Armor All in it and take a curve at more than 15 MPH you'll end up thrown out of the car Custom mix leather color (Testor's enamels) black wash, light tan drybrush, finger rubbed for sheen. Thanks,
  17. YUP! Been there done that. I usually end up changing modeling topics altogether from cars to helicopters or airplanes or military. Then I get frustrated again with the Mi-6 helicopter I've been scratchbuilding for the past 12 years and go back to cars again. Saludos!
  18. Cool! Nice job. I want to start on mine. So many projects so little time..... Thanks,
  19. Hello again, This car was a true roadster with no side windows. So the window cranks are out of place. I carefully sanded it down. One down one to go. Now you see it, Now you don't This is the kind of little details that even if nobody else notices, are important to me. After all, I build for myself and I'm my toughest critic. Thanks,
  20. Nice job! I love those cars but the decals keep me away from them. Thanks,
  21. I checked that model and it's going to be tough with that camera. It has no macro setting and there is no optical zoom. The digital zoom feature is useless for this application. The minimum focusing distance for that camera is about 40 inches. Do you have any type of photo software you can crop an image? You can try the portrait setting, no zoom, highest resolution (5MP). Try with and without flash and see how they compare. Try to have as much light as possible, like outdoors but not direct sunlight as it will confuse the light meter. Then using a photo editing software you can crop the surroundings. Or you can send the picture to me and I'll crop it for you. Hope this helps! Thanks,
  22. Wow! That is so cool! What kit is that? I love it. Dan Gurney is a true legend and a favorite. Thanks for sharing!
  23. Call me weird, but I love electrical wiring I need to check it: If I hit the lights switch the horn goes off Thanks,
  24. OK, First of all you don't want to use portrait setting. you need to use macro setting. Portrait will focus about 5 feet from the camera. Macro is for closeups. Find the macro setting and keep the flash off. Start with that and we'll take it step by step. Thanks,
  25. Harry, the pics are FULL of Focus: Ford focus that is dyimirage, what camera are you using? let's start from here and see how we can help. BTW, cool concept Thanks,
