  1. You can specify who pays for the shipping. As a general rule the buyer pays for it. If it is not specified, it is assumed it is the buyer's responsability to pay for shipping.
  2. I just started listing items for sale at emodelcars.com. It is VERY easy to do, not to mention FREE While I've been "ebaying" for over a decade, I rarely sell. So let's see how it goes. Thanks,
  3. No emails here yet. Maybe Bill can spare one for me?
  4. Famous Corvette tuner and aftermarketer Reeves Callaway once said that "while a street car operates between a limited range of parameters, race cars are infinitely adjustable." There you go, there had to be a Corvette connection somewhere The advantage of scratchbuilding part of this suspension is not only strenghtening it, but that it also gives me freedom to adjust it my way. By trimming the brass rod and playing with its location, I can play with the ride height and make sure it is even at both sides. Just like the real thing. It also allows for some compensation in case the tire hubs are not 100% identical. Thanks,
  5. Thanks Jim, Ohh I'm jealous! I've been to the museum several times and it is so awesome and mind blowing there are no words to describe it. I have saved every single picture in their archives If you get a chance to go back soon, I need pics of the rear suspension geometry and the back in general. Since the car is a Panoz G Force chassis, it is a bit different to the more common Dallara. Thanks,
  6. Ohh that is a clear sign of infection with the "overcomplicaditis" disease. As you may have heard, there is no cure, so ENJOY! That is looking really good my friend! Let me know if I can be of any help. Thanks,
  7. Guess what! I LOVE it! DUH! Great job Dave.... Wanna race? You may remember mine, built last year.... http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=6995 I'm slowly working on a few more versions, but yours make me want to jump to that version now... Thanks,
  8. Thanks Simon, That was my first option but it's discontinued. I have been checking on eBay and I haven't seen it pop up there either. I'm waiting for a response from the online contact. I'll keep searching.... Thanks,
  9. Nice save! That's technically a '75 as there were no convertibles in '76. However, MPC did a'76 convertible. Again, nice job! Thanks,
  10. Hello, Anybody out there taped the Indy 500 race in 2005? As many of you know, I'm doing Danica's car from that race and the broadcast should be good reference material, especially those in car camera shots. There were segments on You Tube but were removed because of copyright infringements. I'll gladly pay for duplication and shipping if needed. Thanks,
  11. Danny, You couldn't have picked a better car for inspiration! The Bugweiser is always a crowd favorite. Here is video of it doing some testing. This is a test only 11.58 seconds pass. Not all out. This car is in the 10's Thanks,
  12. In today's episode: Something gets SUSPENDED!!! Is it the project? NO! It's the car's suspension! One corner down, 3 to go. This is called the United Nations of materials. There is white metal, tin, steel, brass and plastic here. And one more material: BLOOD! The darn steel wire pierces like crazy. OUCH! I estimate that this project can be finished by...... (let me check my watch).... hmmm 2020 Thanks,
  13. That's not what I said... ...and you spoiled the joke! Oh well.....
Suerte,
  15. For that amount you can get a beater 911 and have more fun with it This is a better deal I think: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cars-Trucks...d=p4506.c0.m245
  16. Tamiya spray clear should not yellow as it is lacquer based. As a rule of thumb: clear enamel yellows, lacquer does not. There may have been some exceptions but that's the general rule. Thanks,
  17. That looks Cool! What scale is it? 1/32?
  18. Hello, I know, I know. Very few care for this subject. But I'm having a lot of fun challenging the odds Here is a spoiling story: Once upon a time, there was an evil resin rear spoiler. It was warped, had pinholes to fill, the surface was rough, but most importantly, it was the wrong shape and size! So the solitary Knight "borrowed" another spoiler from another build in progress, and decided to modify it to satisfy the requirements..... He reassured the other build "For contributing to this cause, thou shall receive an even better spoiler soon" With a swift swing of his shiny sword.... ehh sorry wrong story. With help from trusty rusty, the spoiler started its transformation. A lot of material was added here there and everywhere a few gallons of putty more primer to reveal the progress, more putty, more primer. more putty, etc. etc. and finally, the horizontal wing of the rear spoiler emerges from the fire! While far from over, the solitary Knight is very happy..... The war has just begun, but rejoice in every battle won! To be continued... Thanks,
  19. Glad you had a great time. Unfortunately I was in Cabo Rojo and got a last minute call for a meeting SUNDAY afternoon in Fort Buchanan, the Army base. There went the weekend....
  20. Gumball rally: A true classic indeed. That was actually a Puerto Rican actor: The late Raul Julia doing the role of Franco Bertollini... Thanks,
  21. Rey Ferrari is in the house! Glad to see you here buddy. Gang, this is Rey Franco, aka Rey Ferrari. This model was the Best of Show last year and it is every bit of amazing in person. I see Rey has already posted pics of other projects. Thanks,
  22. Hello, You may have seen elsewhere in this forum my thread on the soft white metal suspension components of this kit. I'm doing some experimentation. I haven't ruled out using the white metal parts, but I'll experiment some before the final decision. I did an A-arm in styrene, but it didn't work. Then I tried thicker styrene, did not work either. So now I'm trying this: A steel wire core for strenght, sandwiched in 2 styrene templates. Of course the most important part is the pushrod to keep it in place, but I'll do that one later. Still needs a lot of work, but it looks promising...... Thanks,
  23. Same Goerge, different password: Sounds like a modified kit reissue
  24. I'm not into motorcycles and green is my least favorite color. But your builds are so clean and nice I have to comment They all look great and fast. What scale are those? Thanks,
