More progress pictures. I'm enjoying this build as if it were mine (yeah I wish) Thanks,
-
Thank you very much Cal! I have this kit and plan to start on it soon. Your information is very valuable! Regards,

Hey Revell, where's my ZR1?

Here is the video. I still get goosebumps to see it Enjoy ZR1 at Barrett-Jackson -
Nice job on that kit Jameston! I remember we talked a little bit when you were starting your biz. I'm glad to see it blooming! Can you ship out of the lower 48? Cal, I have that kit and I am thinking on starting with it soon. I'd like to know the details. Maybe in a separate thread or PM so we don't hijack this thread. Thanks,
-
The ZR1 is already out there. Where is my 1/25? I can not afford the 1:1 and I need my fix...

If I can not finish the car by the show, at least I can show the engine in the miscelaneous table I really like it. Flathead inline 8. Ferrari DID NOT invent the Testa Rossa (red head) http://images41.fotki.com/v1245/photos/1/1233394/6240133/DSCF8038-vi.jpg http://images41.fotki.com/v1254/photos/1/1233394/6240133/DSCF8041-vi.jpg http://images40.fotki.com/v1250/photos/1/1233394/6240133/DSCF8042-vi.jpg What do you think? Thanks,

The only giveaway I saw to know it was a model was the windows. Having them been fully down I wouldn't be able to tell. The antenna looked funny but it was not enough to be sure.

Felice sent me more progress pictures. These fully functional working scratchbuilt buckles are for the hood. I love the 2 smaller lines coming out of the main hose. What's this? Fuse panel! Yes, I have already insulted him on behalf of all of us and told him we all hate him Thanks,

I was going to use the plastic bottom pulley but then.... ehhh what the heck! These all go black. But it's hard to resist leaving them shiny like that.... Thanks,
-
... jingle bells, jingle bells jingle all the way.... Ohh how fun it is to wire a flathead inline 8...

In today's installment of this monologue: We finally see some color. Hey! I'm already at step 1 of the instructions!!! Which ones look better? the plastic pulleys with the generator in the air? or mine? Too bad it all goes painted in black. You can also see the block is a bit dirty of older oil and a hint of grime. It is hard to keep these things clean you know.... Thanks,

Hi, I found this text in a page about the history of the 330 P4. I think they ran Good Years in CanAm but I'm not really sure. "The redesigned 5 speed gearbox, mated to a rear-mounted differential, was beefed up to handle the additional output of the big V-12. Forghieri chose Firestone’s which were noteworthy for their significant increase in width over the previously used Dunlop’s." Hope it helps. Thanks,

Hello, Nothing is more dangerous to an engine than a startup without oil. So I made this home video to illustrate the simple procedure: Thanks,

HELP ME!!! I'm out of control! I blame Bill Geary and Art Anderson for this No wonder after more than 2 months of work there is not a single drop of paint yet on it...... What do you think? Thanks,
-
Bill, My house and my BBQ grills (plural) are always open for you..... Just let me know the flight number Regards,

Hello, I'm not posting as frequently as I used to but here is some older progress. The bumpers are different between '32 and '33. The kit is a '32 and I need to make '33. I will attempt to do them in brass but in the meantime, since this project needs to be ready for an upcoming show, I did these for now. The kit's bumpers are for a '32 Rusty Trusty roams with impunity Getting there. Still not quite there yet but you get the idea.... This is just in case I don't finish the brass ones in time. Thanks,
-
SHAME ON YOU!! You should have at least 10 in a row.....

I know! But I won't tell and will not vote until later in the week. Either way it is drop dead GORGEOUS!

2nd Invitational BBQ Model Car Fest
ismaelg replied to simonr's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
We had a good time today. We did this last year in my house and again today at Simon's. The idea is simple: Meet at somebody's house with models and get BBQ food for it We had Mike, Ruben, Ferdinand, Alex, Christian, Simon and me. Simon will post more pictures later but I want to share these. Here is a link to the Fotki album: http://public.fotki.com/tatocorvette/scale...-casa-de-simon/ Here is a sample: This is Simon's 1/43 scale 962 Porsche Thanks, -
Here is the story and the original picture: I took this picture when my GTP was about 95% completed. I take pictures and look at them carefully for any flaws I may have missed. At the same time I was doing some photoshop rework on other pictures and took this one and deleted the background. When I saw it I thought on this section so I eventually sent it to Harry. After the picture was taken the radiator shields were added and the panel lines darken. Regards,

Howdy and Something you have not seen before.

That's totally wicked! Enough of the Corvette lines to be subtle yet noticeable, but totally different at the same time. Love the layout as well. Exquisite and inspiring! By the way, Welcome to the forum Regards, -
Hi, Haven't been on this thread for a while. That is the rear engine XP-819 Corvette prototype by Frank Winchell's team. Larry Shinoda designed the body. Thanks,

Cool! Great job on an unusual car!
