Beautiful car! and in such a small scale even more impressive. How does it look next to one of the Super 7s? Thanks,
-
On this episode: Remember I'm NOT doing a wild street machine, or a race car. I'm doing an early to mid 80's cool ride. These cars were not the fire breathers they were in the late '60s. I want to use these wheels. But I can't seem to find a proper set of tires. Again, period correct. After checking in my tires stash (here is some of it) I decided to make my own Big 'n littles. I want the same type of tire, same brand, same height but slightly wider in the back. Just like my 1:1. So out came Rusty Trusty... a careful off center cut: put the wide parts together some sanding and careful gluing: and TADA!!!! you have your own Big 'n littles!!! What do you think? Thanks,

Hello, Body was painted Cobra Colors Arctic white followed by a pearl midcoat and clear. It is very hard to photograph but I love how it looks even before polishing. Thanks,

How did I miss this post before? Beautiful job! Love it! -
Hello, After a good cleanup, primer and ready for color. I added the seat backs and reworked the steering column. Added door pulls/handrests from the parts box. The steering wheel was cut off. I may use flocking, but the glass parts are tinted dark.... Time, the most precious commodity Thanks,

Provisional grid for the 2008

It's going to be a great race. But there is a MAJOR conspiracy against me watching anything related to it or any racing for that matter this year. My SCC (Stupid Cable Company) dropped Speed, I'll be out of town all week and during the race I'll be out of town For the overall good of the sport it is good to see the top teams challenged. As much as I love MY Corvette team, and I really hope they kick butt, it is good to see the Astons and Saleen getting into the fight. Same with Audi and Peugeot and Porsche and Ferrari. And the talk of LMP2 challenging LMP1 supremacy is very interesting. Reliability is the key to this race. I hope to see at least a summary or something Thanks, -

Corvette Info request.....
ismaelg replied to Len Geisler's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Len, I'm not aware of any yellow '84 or '85 Vettes. However, yellow has a history of been a very hard to use color, sometimes getting the most warranty claims. Code 35 was first used in 1986, so I wouldn't be surprised if by 1984 they were experimenting with it. Rumor has it that that color and Competition Yellow, the one that replaced it in '90, were both a pain to work with. Those 2 colors were alternated during the C4 years. Code 35 yellow from '86-'88 and a handful of '89s , Competition Yellow code 53 in '90, then back to code 35 in '91 and '92 and back to Comp Yellow code 53 from '94 to '96. Thanks, -

I knew there were no mainstream inline 12s, so it had to be special. I thought Packard but I also had Deusenberg in my mind. If any company could come up with something like that, those two (among a few others) could.

In line 12 cylinder monster. Maybe Packard?

That's the 302 "HEMI" Chevy engine prototype. The exhaust manifold gives it away

Hello, Mirrors were cleaned up. Horrible mounting tabs removed. I pinned them at the base and drilling twice measuring once(or was it the other way around?) they can easily be installed after painting. Thanks,

Danica's 2005 Indy ride

Thanks. I have seen excellent samples of his castings. I think I simply got one that is not at the top end of the specs, but still workable. -
We talked about that in another post. As I said, she is bringing emotion back to motorsports. She would have rip his head off without scratching the helmet. Her eyes were melting her helmet spitting out laser fire. Roger Penske told Briscoe: "Get your visor down". In the awards banquet last night, Briscoe thanked Charles, the security guy Darth Vader himself would be proud of her marching down the pits. No wait, Move over Darth Vader! There is a new Imperial march benchmark.... Boy I want that video... Thanks,
