The engine looks So good planted between those Rails Awesome, just Awesome. I think the brass hardware would look better against the Aluminum Chris did you see the Addendum to my post #2492 about the paint color? -
Exactly I would think that Rodas would be Focused more on the driving, if he would have been doing that type of stunt driving. But thats just what was read, it kind of fits with the Joyride aspect, and I feel it would be a little far fetched to think that you could lose control on such a basic maneuver, Rodas probably learned figure 8's on day one of professional race car driver school. It would be good if there was security camera footage to show exactly what transpired. Just to help end the Speculation.

Another article I read reported that there were tire skid marks in figure 8 and donut patterns police could Not confirm that they were from the Porsche

Building a 392 with a Blower, the fuel injector block has four ports on the right side, where would those be plumbed too? I realize they would be ending up at some sort of fuel block, but couldnt find good images on google. It would be four rubber hoses exiting the Injector. Not steel lines like modern race cars.

Help with kit Identifying

I just switched over to the E-Bay channel, and searched. There are two for sale, with diffferent front end Variations. They are No where near as nice, and clean cast as this one. This also happens to be a complete curbside kit with interior floor, seats dash, wheels, and tires. -

Bare Metal Foil.
my80malibu replied to Ramfins59's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
My issues with the BMF is having it stick and lay down properly around vent windows. Lately I have been rescribing trim areas, before I paint which has help quite a bit at trimming during the foil stage. -
Olds rear end for Gasser project

AMT Pontiac catalina should be very similar. All BOP cars were interchangeable in the early years. You might look at the Revell 50 Oldsmobile as well -

I may try to give snake racing a call tomorrow to see if they can help me. The best would be to be able to get a paint code for the color. And when I did this spray sample, this was just the base coat over the spray out chart with no clear. Good luck with that. I remember meeting Don at Beeline dragway in Arizona. During the 70's He wasn"t a real nice guy back then. -

I think the green portion of the decal may get lost. In the base color. But I like the car buildup

So is the 'rat rod' craze officially over?
my80malibu replied to Mike_G's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Would you want something with that type of weld, 'top picture" rolling down the Highway. Next to, or in front of your Family sedan? -

I dont think any of those colors are going to work. Chris in your very first picture of the real car from the front, you can see the metallic in the paint, where the fender comes over the rear deck close to the spoiler. The sun is just blazing there. The other side views make the paint look flatter and quite a bit lighter. Your darkest color to me looks best but does not have the Metallic brilliance shine. IMHO the boxart photo color blue, could be a better match in a metalic. I had a leave it to Beaver moment today and Thunk about it some. Tamiya Mica blue over the dark base could work for the color you want.
