  1. Bravo well done
  2. Excellent so far.
  3. I saw a few with 429 engines not stock. The biggest stock engine for F100 at that time was a 390 I believe. My Pop had a F100 LWB it had a 302 with a 3 speed MT column shift.
  4. whatever eggs that you enjoy handling, please leave the Faberge eggs alone.
  5. I tuned into the Gearz show this morning, and saw an interesting larger scale roadster on the table.Where Stacy David was announcing the winners of the Revell Model contest. it looked larger than 1/18 scale and smaller than 1/8 scale. To my old eyes. Would anyone know what this is or where it came from?
  6. In regards to the illustrations. One of the most difficult parts is to get the slight bend at the hinge,so that you are able to overlap them like the 1-1, as shown in the second picture while mounted in the vise.During that process the brass usually cracks while attempting to move it over, even after it has been Annealed. http://www.modelcars...om/door-hinges/
  7. I prefer a good soldering iron over a torch just safer for me
  8. Thats really well detailed. I wonder what else is out there that we dont know about?
  9. I really like it John. Another one out of the ballpark. One quick question, Why did Kurt paint the engine block one color and the waterpump another? It seems a little odd. However I understand its his car and he can paint it any way he wants to. Just a curiosity I have.
  10. Harry that only happened once, while I was there.
  11. Looks like it would be a blast to build. I have never seen a Skill level 4 kit.
  12. We here in Phoenix had a Hobby Lobby hobby store for a number of years, before a National chain with a very similar Name moved in to town. I do believe in fact that the National chain did purchase the right to use that Hobby stores name. Here in Phoenix from the owners of the original Hobby Lobby. Now we have them all over the Valley with a 40% of coupon, which was something we never seen from the original owners.
  13. There are available battery operated paint stirring tools and even a paint jar shaker
  14. Bill I understand better now thanks for the explanation I never thought about production schedules and materials on hand aspect of factory work during wartime
  15. Jacen. I reread my post it comes off a little strong. I apologize for that. I was not upset in any way.
  16. Jacen, I did realize this is a predominately Car oriented site. However there is a section here that does refer to Other models. I figured it was safe to ask. If I do not get the response I need, I will check elsewhere. Interestingly enough Gregg once told me that he was interested in military models, and built those as well in the beginning, before becoming interested in automotive subjects.
  17. Building my first Airplane, US Navy F6F-3 Hellcat Fighter instructions call out for Aqueous H 56, or Mr Color C 27. Neither color of which I have access too. I do have some Tamiya HF-71 cockpit green, and Model Master 1734 Green Zinc chromate, which is enamel based. Would either one of these colors closely represent the Intermediate green color I am looking for?
  18. Nice, She looks born to run.
  19. Model car, and pedal car show. Along with those 1-1 vehicles referred to as Hot Rods. November 16/17/18th at Westworld in Scottsdale Arizona.
  20. It's kinda early to tell, but I think You are going to fit right in. Glad you joined the group, and very cool cars you have built.
