That's exactly what I had. Same spot same side

Thanks for the tip

I built this back in the early '90s. While working on the '66 Nova I couldn't help but to think of the similarities between these 2 cars. I don't remember a lot about building this other then using the Chezoom kit wheels and tires. I used red sewing thread for the interior details. Looking back, I can't say I would change anything other then articulating the front wheels and give the paint and finish more attention.

Shes now Under Glass Thanks for playing along!

This is the Resto Rods release of the AMT kit. I wanted that Street Rod look and had to use the Pegasus wheels and tires. This required wheel tubs. Once I articulated the front wheels and got the ride height where I wanted, i had to rebuild the inner fender wells so the wheels could be positioned. I also wanted a 396 power plant. I cast this in resin. This is the 1st time using a return spring and a throttle cable. It's a tight fit in the engine bay so I had to make my own headers. I used soldier for this. No room for the battery. I'm saying it's in the trunk. The exhaust was a hybrid parts box and 12 AWG copper wire. I went after the interior with Apple Barrel craft paint and a chrome pen. The exterior paint is gloss black craft maint mixed 2:1 with alcohol shot at 20 psi. The clear is Duplicolor automotive clear. Thanks for looking! How the sausage was made

I blew the interior bucket apart so I could detail the door cards and add carpeting. The body needs a lot of cleanup.

Great shine Jeremy. Love that color

Beautiful build Bob! Love everything about it. You have the eye

another step closer. Foil and Interior is done as well as the exhaust. It was kind of a hodge podge since the headers were a home brew. I used the pipes and mufflers that came with the kit and bent up the rest from 12 AWG wire. I covered the pipes, mufflers and wire with a silver sharpie. A couple more days and she will be in the display case.

I'm new to polishing and I'm working with what I got but yes, Novus2 then McGuire's is what I did. There was a guy at last months meeting that used a ceramic coating last. His finish was amazing
