I picked this up at the NNL last weekend. I used to own this kit when I was a kid and remember it fondly. It was marked as built at $15. I asked the vendor if that was the best he could do and said he would take $10 for it. It appeared to be all there so I went for it. When I got home I disassembled it and sprayed the body and interior with my preferred paint remover. While the parts soaked, I freshened up the engine a bit. so far I've added a distributor, plug wires with boots, a coil, fuel lines, openings for the heater hoses and carburetor linkage with a return spring. The plan is metal flake blue exterior with black interior.

Maybe a handheld pencil sharpener that you can use to twist on the tree?

How did you cut them down to size? -
I came across this link on YouTube and found it interesting. I might get me some of that nail powder

This is the Ultra Bright Chrome flavor and yes, it curls up. It's a brand new sheet. I've never used any that didn't. I even tried making my own with super thin tin foil and wallpaper sizing.

Great looking interior Jim. Hang in there

All of the bright work is done except for the drip rails. Still have to install the engine and hook up the heater hoses. Lots of miscellaneous things to tend to.
