  1. It is a 1/24 model by Italeri. I guess it is some kind of custom: a restomod of a 1930 Bugatti. I'm swapping out the stock 771ci strait-8, for the WW2 Merlin airplane engine, V12. The only thing I am changing is the engine. Jay Leno has, I think, a classic Bentley with a similar engine; his has 6 twin choke Weber carbs, which I plan to use. Thanks for your interest.
  2. The interior is one piece, painted 4 different colors.
  3. Hi All. When I got this model, it had already been started, mostly the rear suspension. I had to cut it apart to build it. And because of this, I had to mount the transmission to the frame rails, instead of mounting it to the 'fender assembly'. It's been like a 3D jig saw puzzle!! So here are some photos. Later, I hope to have some photos of the rear suspension.
  4. On this build, I widened the whls./tires by 3.0mm; too much I think. I did this with 'hole cutters'. I used the correct paint (ordered from the UK). I am quite pleased with the result of this little cheap model. The cycle fenders were hard to attach: I used v. thick CA glue.
  5. I'm going to try to post some pics of my Fiat. The engine was very nice, but I messed it up. How do you like those yellow fog-lights? I don't know where I got them from. I decided to go with aftermarket wheels and tires; the kit items were, I thought, too small. In adding these, I had to do quite a bit of chassis and suspension work. Like I said, the engine is very nice.
  6. Thanks for posting.
  7. I am interested in the '69 Nova.
  8. What gage wire could be used to plumb, fuel lines, Hilborn F.I.? This is for 1/25 scale. Thanks in advance.
  9. Hi Messer. I too am bldg. this '39. I was fortunate enough to come across some tires and rims from the Lincoln Cont. BTW did you shorten the front end?
  10. I might suggest "graph paper" at the offc. supp. This way you don't have to 'eyeball'it. Put the figure for the body, then the frame or chassis, then you can line up the drive train pieces.
  11. I do not believe a 1/24 Blue Flame will fit. Better use a 1/25 scale Blue Flame. I am building J.M. Fangio's '39. I had to so some cutting to fit the 1/24 scale engine.
  12. Did you get your '39 Chevy coupe wheels?
  13. My previous 'dryer' did get very hot (95o), not this one. Plus it has vents all over the place.
  14. I have a food dehydrator from Walmart, and I cry "false advertising". I couldn't find any model numbers, but it claims to have adjustable 'heat', but it doesn't. It has 3 buttons on the front, plus the 'dial', but it never gets very hot at all. Plus it is v. small. Pay extra and get more features, and heat!!
  15. It's called: "Krylon Fusion 'Gloss Patriotic blue'. It is no. 2716. At least, it looks close to me.
  16. Yes, I'm looking for that "bath tub intake". I had one at one time. Thanks
  17. Thanks for posting.
  18. So now I have to compete with "steely eyed missile men"?
  19. Thanks for your help. I think I will be going with a Hemi and correct NASCAR air cleaner. I am lengthening a full-detail 1/24 NASCAR chassis to fit a 1/25 Dodge Charger Daytona. I'll try to post some photos.
  20. Is there a full detail model of the '69 Charger Daytona? I am putting a full detail NASCAR chassis under a '69 Charger Daytona 1/25. I'm getting pretty good with scratch built roll-cages. But yeah I need the 1/24 Mopar NASCAR engine in 1/24. Have lots to trade. Thanks
  21. Hi. I am interested in "Ferrari" leather paint, as I've heard it called. Also any dark red: ox-blood, terracotta, anything like that. Thanks.
