  1. Thanks for the great info, Mark. Maybe I can pick up one of these 'customs' for cheap if I am patient. Jeff
  2. Is this kit based on the Jo Han '70 Toronado kit? I need a chassis, etc., for a resin kit Toronado kit, '66, from Speed City Resin, in Castaic, CA. ( I have the '70 polystyrene kit from Jo Han, and it fits beautifully! Now I'd like another chassis for '70 styrene kit!) I love the Toronados. I think there is another kit, styrene, of another model year Toronado, but I don't prefer the styling. Thanks
  3. no photos. everything is chopped all to heck trying to fit it together. anybody want what left of this kit?
  4. Thanks for the comments, everyone; now I'm going out to have my head examined. I wonder if I could have gotten the wrong chassis-plate? Thanks
  5. Hasn't anyone built this kit? The rear suspension is un buildable, and there is part of the instructions missing. No comments?
  6. Can this kit be as bad as it seems?
  7. Yeah, I had my hopes up, though. Thanks, jokar.
  8. Thanks, Khils, for your consideration.  It looks like the Man in NM will have a part for me.  Thanks anyway.

  9. Ever see one? I saw a picture of the box art in an old 'Scale Auto Enthusiast' magazine. Any comments would be great. I think it is 1/25.
  10. Hey MrMopar!  Yes, here is my mailing address:  Jeff Bolthouse, 4486 Brookmere Dr. SE, Kentwood, Mich., 49512.  This is great!  I was just getting ready to try to scratch making one; by cold-bending.  Thanks

  11. Guess what, stitchdup? I figured it out! Check out my "Wanted" post. Now I think I will post some photos of my builds in the "Underglass" section. Thanks.
  12. This is probably a pretty elementary thing to be ignorant of. How is it similar to attaching a photo to an email? Thanks.
  13. Thank you very much for all this great info. I am hot-rodding a "Tom Daniel's" kit, the "Street Fighter", a '60 Chevy sedan delivery. And it needs a lot of help! Actually it is a pretty pleasant build, being actually about 1/23 scale. My last kit was a Tamiya Lotus Super Seven 1/24, more like 1/25 or 1/26. So the "Street Fighter" badly needed a larger engine, which means I will be needing to heavily modify the front suspension. Thanks again.
  14. I'd like to try my hand at making some coil-overs. Can anybody recommend a specific brand, or specification of wire? Thanks
  15. I use a "jeweler's vice" I bought from "Micro Mark". It has a large wooden handle and a small heavy adjustable vice on the end. Gently clamp the transmission in place and it holds the engine assembly very stable.
  16. Thanks for posting your build.  I am trying to adapt a NASCAR chassis to a '57 T-Bird.  I hope to use a 1/25 Ford Cammer engine.  I will need to do something like your tubular K-member to clear the big engine!  Thanks.  Wonderful build.

  17. You can get wood cigar boxes for between $3 - $5. I have 9 of them. I also use v. small zip-loc bags. And also at the 'Dollar Store', you can get shoe boxes, plastic, for $1. Each one will hold 1 complete kit.
  18. Are there any tutorials out there on this technique? What do you cut the Al sheet with? What glue? Thanks
  19. Thank you folks. Because of cost, I think I will convert a NASCAR kit, with the Roll Cage and suspension and dry sump oiling, etc. Of course I'll have to shorten the wheelbase. Again, thanks.
