  1. Hi Paul. I see that you are interested in the Bugatti engine. I will mock up the 2 engines and see what it is going to take to transplant the RR Merlin engine. I have been looking in my house for the Merlin kit and I have not found it yet! The Merlin is a V12 or a V16? I was surprised at what a nice kit it is. I think it has 4 chrome trees! Are you quite knowledgeable about the Bug. engine? In the directions it has some interesting details on this Bug engine. If you send me you email, I will email you a copy of the instructions. Jeff
  2. Thank you, Richard. I bought a Lindberg Bugatti Victoria, '31, for $23.36 all in. A good price for me I think. I have a 'Rolls Royce Merlin' engine from Alan Raab. At one time he produced both the RR Merlin and the Packard Merlin, both looked substantially different from one another. Yes, I'm going to try to put it in the Bugatti. I may have to create a few 'bulges' in hood!
  3. Hi. I am looking to acquire a kit of one of the Bugatti Royale kits out there. I guess Italeri has just reissued one. And if memory serves, Lindberg had one also. Any comments? Thanks
  4. I priced 'The Treatment' model car wax, and it is quite high. Are there alternatives that modelers use to 'The Treatment'? Thanks
  5. I can't seem to get any response from them. Maybe they are v., v. busy, as they sure seem to have alot of good 'stuff'!
  6. Thanks E.A. I printed out about a dozen of the diagrams.
  7. Thankyou afx. Beautiful model.
  8. "It's a sick world and I'm a happy guy!"  Thanks dartman; you made my day!

  9. Hi George.  Is the resin front bench seat still available?  I don't have much to trade and would rather send you cash to cover your time and mailing costs.

  10. Hi George.  I am writing about the front bench-seat for my '68 Road Runner.  You mentioned you had a resin piece.  On this Forum you used to be able to send P.M.s, personal messages.  Now I guess this message I am sending to you will be published.  I would like to send you a PM.  Please respond.  Thanks

First off, I apologize! I just happen to spot this message in my profile! Never came to my mailbox! Email me and I’ll send you a pic. gbojaciuk@comcast.net

  11. Thank you: Maxwell; Snake; and '999'.
  12. Preserving emblems, so they don't get filled in with paint. Deuces ll, you lay some kind of 'aluminum foil', I don't know what kind, over the emblem and burnish it down. When done correctly, I'm told, you can then turn the foil over, and fill the cavity in the foil with a substance that will harden. Then you have a foil-casting, made of this hardened substance. Then you apply it to the model after it has been painted.
  13. I enjoy the odd poem now and then myself.

  14. Hi. I'd like to try 'foil-casting'. But what brand, etc. to use? Thanks.
  15. Hi ACE garage guy.  Please don't act like a troll, which I feel like you are doing.  As I explained to others, my skills, frankly, are not at your acceptable level, I think.  If you can't help ME, get out of my way.  Very coy, referring to me as the OP.   I am both building a '65 Dodge AWB, and a T.F. engine from Gibson.  And, as I've asked others, don't we all build for different reasons?.  I love building model cars and I think this Forum is the greatest thing since sliced bread, if you don't mind the comparison.  I don't know about you, but I've got a whole lot of other important things going on in my life besides modeling.  How about you? Although,  I love seeing other people's amazing work on the "On The Bench" category.  I am glad others  devote so much time to building.  It is positively entertaining.  Call me a voyeur if you like.  Jeff Bolthouse, Grand Rapids, Michigan

In ACE-Garageguy's posting, why wasn't "hell" deleted?  Are you guys the original members of the NNL?  Jeff

Show me one post where I've ever said anything negative about you or your work. ONE.

Copy and paste. SHOW ME ONE. I will NOT accept being accused of something I just DID NOT DO.

      PROVE IT.

Ace, I 'flipped out'.  No other way to say it.  So I am sorry.  Jeff

  16. Hello.  I am the OP in regards to the diameter of roll-cage tubing mentioned in the thread.  My skills are not the level where I NEED to know things like this.  We each build for different reasons, I think, don't you?  And I am not building a replica, although I have modified the chassis, especially the front chassis area.  Not only were the front-axle moved forward 10", it was moved down 4".  I have made this modifiication.  Thank you.  Jeff Bolthouse, Grand Rapids, Michigan.

  17. I must say, Mr. Reckner, you assume too much.  I am building both a '65 Dodge AWB, AND a Top Fuel engine from Gibson's.  You come off, to me, as both a Troll and a rivet- counter, which I am not.  We each have our own "building-philosophy".  I hope you don't mind me saying so.  Jeff Bolthouse, Grand Rapids, Michigan.  And I also must say, in a Post Script, my building skills are not at that level.

  18. I have a very nice kit of the '69 Hurst Olds.  Tell me about the Corvette kit?

  19. I have a v. good '69 Hurst Olds.  I like the T. Aston Martin and the Bug Eye.  Let me know.

  20. I'm pretty sure I have a stock '70 Super Bee chassis plate.  You just need that one piece?  I'd be interested in the Matador, the 100-6 lot, and/or the Ferrari Testarossa.

  21. I'm interested in the Viper ACR kit.  How complete is it?  I have v. good '69 Hurst Olds.

  22. I have a '69 Hurst Olds in very shape (as new).  Is the 356 Porsche built up?  Are all the parts there?  Thanks
