  1. Replicas and Miniatures of Maryland do not carry the redline tires anymore, alas.
  2. I use a 150cfm furnace fan, used.
  3. Wowie Zowie, Mike! Problem sol-ved! (A reference to the Pink Panther movies, which I don't really like.)
  4. Hello. Been searching for some 14" redline tires, for the Lindberg '66 Chevelle (don't know the scale). The 'stickers' don't work. Any comments would be great. Thanks
  5. I have a '66 AMT Mustang chassis complete you can have.
  6. After scribing the panel lines, what works best to high-light the panel lines? A dark water-color dilute wash? I have heard of a product called "Mig". I have also heard of using a very dilute wash of oil-paint. What do you think? Thanks.
  7. How you doing. Probably some of you guys (and gal(s)) have used it. It looks great when it is used in magazine articles. Any comments? Thanks
  8. Can I glue the front and rear fascia onto the body and then paint it, before installing the chassis/interior? The front fascia doesn't fit too well and I'd like to 'putty' the spots that are not quite right, paint the whole thing, then install the chassis/interior? Thanks
  9. Thank you so much everybody! (This online forum is so valuable, how can it be free? I do subscribe to MCM. Plus, what it means in maintaining a community!)
  10. Hopefully all '68 Road Runner kits are the same scale because I do not know the brand of kit I'm referring to! A Hemi comes in the kit and the Carter carbs look awful tall. If these carbs are not accurate, can anyone suggest some better ones? Now is that perfectly clear? LOL Thanks
  11. Interesting how the front suspension was 're-arranged'.
  12. I had p.e. buckle hardware that would accept 1/4" ribbon I got from Hobby Lobby. I would cut the ribbon at an angle to make a point, and then slick it down with saliva. This method took me hours but I finally got it! Now I would use a type of medical tape that is like paper that I got from Walgreens; the pharmacist helped me out to choose the right stuff. It is "Well" brand paper tape, latex free, 1" X 10 yards.
  13. It seems that Model Car Garage used to have such p.e. buckles, GM type. You could use 1/4" ribbon. Thanks
  14. Thank you very much for the helpful comments.
  15. The windshield in question is very thin and glued in place. And it has 2 CA glue finger prints on the out side. Can I sand them out, then polish and finish with Future? What oh what shall I do? (Maybe throw it against the wall?) Thanks
  16. I use an old drill bit, and try not to knock the bottle over.
  17. I have a chrome-bumper with a strip that should be black-rubber. Would Molotow black be reasonably durable, or not much? Thanks
  18. And we're mostly talking here about metal items.
  19. In one of the model-car magazines they had a pretty complete article on making wire wheels. I think the article included 2 or 3 different methods. I think this article was published within the last year. If there is any interest I will search for the article.
  20. I remember my Dad (and I) going to the Ford dealer to pick out his company car. I think I was about 14 y.o. They had one of these 7 Litre Galaxies on the show-room floor. I went 'to work' on my Dad to get him to choose this beautiful red beast! Didn't work though, but this car has always been one of my very favorite big Fords. It is styled to look not massive or large. Rather, long and lean!
  21. I appreciate the help. Thanks
  22. I've never used these before. I guess you would wipe the tire side-wall down with a solvent. Then center the sticker. Then spray it with clear acrylic? Then dull coat it. How does that sound? Comments, anyone, please? Thanks.
