I have a partial aftermarket diecast 1/25 Hewland kit.. Partial because 1/2 of the piece is missing. I am not actually sure who manufactured this item. I only paid $10.00 for this: what a deal! (If it was complete.). I would like to acquire this item. Any help or info? From the same company I acquired a (complete) small block chevy with Webers. Thankyou much.

Microscale Micro Liquitape, any good?
fiatboy posted a topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
This stuff is supposedly good for "tacking" pieces together for mockup purposes. Anybody try it? 'Preciate it! -
I too would like to see these kits 'blown up'.

How ya going? (that's Yooper speak) Mopar, in NASCAR I think, or maybe from the Ramchargers. These headers looked like the ones on automobile engine powered 'ski boats': they went high then back. I bought a set of these in 1/25 scale but do not know to 'apply them'. I forget from whom I bought them (resin). I will try to post a photo. Any info would be helpful. Thank you.

"Spaz Stix", a little info, please?
fiatboy replied to fiatboy's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Thanks High octane! -
I've seen Spaz Stix on Amazon, I believe. What is the best way to purchase it? I'm interested in the chrome-style. Thanks

The drawings are an accomplishment in themselves! What do modelers say? "Where there is a will there is a way".

Miami Vice Testarossa v. Monogram's version
fiatboy replied to fiatboy's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Thanks you guys! -
Is there any difference between the Miami Vice Testarossa and the Monogram version? I am also confused about the real 1:1 Ferraris: there is the Testarossa and the TR512. Can anyone fill me in on the differences? Thanks

My message box is full so I need to delete about 100 of them. Needless to say, I am not good with computers. Thanks in advance.

building the (AMT) Avanti; intake manifold
fiatboy replied to fiatboy's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Wow! I can't thank you guys enough! Especially the photos of the dual-supercharger intake, keyser. But thanks to everyone who made comments. -
When building up the Avanti using the 2 superchargers, it looks like it is missing the intake manifold. It seems the "missing" manifold should look like a dual-quad manifold. Any comments would be great. Thanks

64 Dodge 330 'Ramcharger' strait front axle
fiatboy replied to fiatboy's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
OK; thanks ever body! This '64 Dodge 330 "Dodge Charger", I think I'm going to build it with the strait-axle (unless I get alot of hate mail!). I just won't put "Dodge Charger" on the side. I think there is a 'saying' among car-modelers, "if you thinks it's cool, it is cool"! Thanks again. -
64 Dodge 330 'Ramcharger' strait front axle
fiatboy replied to fiatboy's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
I had in mind the "Dodge Chargers" that were supercharged. And Landy's was the one with the strait axle. The photo of the "Hodges Dodges Ramcharger" at Detroit Drag Way looks to me like it has a strait axle because it is so narrow. I appeal to DaddyFink. In all these photos there is pictured a '64 Ramcharger and a '65 Ramcharger. I welcome any and all comments ('cause I'm a big boy!) -
In the '60s, the Ramcharger team, I think from California, built 3, I believe, of these light weight vehicles using strait front axles. I've heard that these axles came from the Dodge van like the one used in the "Little Red Wagon". I have both these kits but the axle from the "L.R.W." looks pretty narrow. Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks. P.S. I heard that all 3 of these vehicles were crashed in short order. One was restored I think. It had a 3-tone paint job.

Any body have any comments on this kit and/or this car? I am looking at buying one off of ebay.

I made mine out of 3/4" plywood - If you get a helper you can use 1/2". Also I used a 150 CFM used or surplus furnace fan. These furnace fans are cheap, $25, but the shipping is high. You can design yours around a particular size furnace-filter, which are also cheap. If you build your own, you can make it relatively large. And I would recommend 2 150 cfm fans. I paid a guy to run the ducting to the outside; It is just clothes-dryer type ducting. If you go online you will be able to find articles on the theory of spray-booths. Read thru these articles and they will give you all kinds of ideas. By the way, furnace fans are perfectly safe; I think they are called 'squirrel-cage' type fans.
