2 questions on some kits, did either the AMT or MPC 70 Camaros ever have a molded in vinyl roof on the kit? Did the promos have a molded in vinyl roof? A friend recently picked up a 70 Camaro that he says has a molded in vinyl roof and the hood is open, I have not seen the model in person but the picture he showed me has a vinyl roof that I could not tell if it was molded and the hood is opening and has a close fit so not sure if it was cut open! Second does the last release of the Lindbergh 1/8 scale T that does not have chrome parts have a styrene interior, roof and seats or is it still the flexible vinyl or what ever the original was made from. This is the one Ollie’s gad a couple years back! Thanks in advance guys!

This is the first diorama that I have built in a really long time, and I only did 2 back then. The shed is a resin “G” scale train item I think, it’s really solid and a little on the heavy side, I figured it was for an outside garden train layout. I attached to a small wood base. I did this very loosely on the shed me and my brother kept our dirt bikes in and his street bike when we were younger! Most stuff was just from the parts box and stuff laying around, the orange bike is from the AMT parts pack that was reissued! Let me know what you guys think and any diorama tips would be appreciated cause I started another!

That is very sharp!

That grille looks awesome! Nice work!

No apologies necessary! , I like seeing other peoples takes on the same kits, the club I used to belong too did a common kit build and that was always cool to see different takes on a kit!

Thanks for the comments, very much appreciated!

I’m looking for several things to complete some project cars. Johan 68 Javelin front and rear bumpers Johan 69 Olds 442 front and rear bumpers and glass. I have the MPC/AMT parts and they do not fit, the front is close and might be modified to work but the rear does not even come close. Johan 68 Olds 442 bumpers front and rear Johan 68 Chrysler Imperial front and rear bumpers and glass. AMT 67/68 Cougar front bumper resin is fine and would like them to be useable, chrome doesn’t matter! Below is some bumpers I have for trade, I have a lot of other parts and stuff to trade! Thanks! The Bronco resin grille is from Fireball model works, the white one is from a toy, not sure who made it. The Buick bumpers are resin and are not Modelhaus, not their quality either. Also looking for AMT 64 lemans interior!

Stef that looks great! Looking at yours I wish I would have opened up the rears wheel wells like yours, I think that looks way better! You gotta finish it up!!!

I recently finished this AMT Round two Black Beauty with some very mild customizing done. I went with Tamiya silver for the paint which I thought looked pretty good on it, I opened the rear wheel wells a little to kind of lighten the larger quarters in the back, added some 3D printed wheels closed off all the time fighting accessories and built the interior pretty much out of the kit! Overall I thought it came out ok and is a pretty nice kit. The plastic didn’t take to some of the paint I used especially on the interior as I think it was a little too hot. Let me know what you guys think!

This is the Ole Blue #3 from Salvinos that I finished a while ago. This was a very hard kit to build at least for me! I had a lot of trouble with fitment and alignment of parts, mainly the engine, rear end which had very vague and somewhat delicate mounting points. I’m sure a lot of people can do a much better job on this than me! I did find an old article in one of the magazines on building these kits and that way looks like a much better approach than I used following the directions. My wife bought me a second one of these so I might have another go at it! Let me know what you guys think!

Up for trade is this Hubley Metropolitan promo in 1/25 scale. This is missing a front bumper and steering wheel, otherwise in decent shape with some warping. I don’t know if the black paint is factory or not but it does look well done, there is a dull spot on the hood. Chrome is decent and the glass is ok also. not really looking for anything specific, maybe a non acetate promo in the same condition? Or throw out some ideas!

Up for trade is this lot of 12 HO scale cars, 6 of these are very generic but might look ok on a train layout. I think the other six are the Revell HO scale mopars , I think these were kits and they are actually pretty cool and nicely done! There are 2 Valiant wagons that are complete and a Dodge Lancer that is also complete. The 2 Chrysler conv are missing parts as is the Imperial. I am open to offers, some things I am looking for would be a set of original 58 Chevy bumpers front and rear, the kit from 58, the front was 1 piece. 1968 Imperial promo bumpers, a Petty Dart trunk lid from any issue, a 67 or 68 Cougar front bumper, either will work for what I need. Thanks in advance!
