  1. Nice paint and color combo, and a snazzy looking interior.
  2. Those are some beautiful old jalopies. Very well done!
  3. Pretty genius idea! Looks very slick!
  4. Another great build, Randy!
  5. Truly outstanding builds! Whoever issued that Daytona kit has got to re-issue it, please.
  6. I'm liking the color. Nice job on the engine so far. This kit looks awfully similar to the Foose kit that I finished earlier this summer, with maybe the only differences being the wheels/tires and decals, at least that's the impression I am getting by the box art side panel. It should go together pretty well, and I can't wait to see it finished.
  7. Yeah, you guys in the south have to deal with high humidity quite a bit. I have the 5 of these ready to go plus I just added a '66 Shelby Mustang to the winter docket, although I have to strip and re-paint it after botching the paint last week. 12 is definitely a pretty lofty goal to get done.
  8. I see that a lot of modelers can and will paint during the cold months in Northern U.S. and Canada, as they will spray the car and then immediately bring it back inside. However, for me to do that seems very tedious to take the body and parts outside, spray said items and then bring back inside a number of times until all the coats are sprayed on. I also have a wife and son that are sensitive to the smells of the paint and gives them headaches, so I spray in my shed and leave out there to dry, so temps in the 0's, teens, and twenty's would not be conducive to painting. Perhaps sometime in the future when I can obtain an airbrush, I can start using craft paints and solve my little problem. It also kind of sucks when I get some inspiration on a build and can't start it because it's too cold to paint. We'll also see if I actually get all of these built, too .
  9. I'm using the frame that has the fenders and running boards molded onto it. It would be identical to the other frame included in the kit if the fenders and running boards were to be removed. Doesn't seem like there's much there for either frame, but it also seems like a cheaper kit so that might explain it. I just hope it goes together without too many issues. I hope to get started on it sometime next week, if I do I will post updates in the "On the Workbench" section.
  10. Nice looking build. I like that color combo.
  11. Well done! And a nice color scheme.
  12. Very realistic weathering, great job.
  13. Very sharp AMX. Nice job. I agree, you don't see too many of these in either model world or real world.
  14. Looking great so far. Nice detailing of the interior. The engine/engine compartment detailing is top notch as well as the chassis being some of the better weathering I have seen. I envy you guys that have the dexterity and patience to do brake/fuel lines on these things. It's all I can do to put on plug wires, although I am going to try battery cables and heater hoses soon and that will most likely be the extent of the smaller details for me. Super job on molding the headlight/turn signal lenses too. I really like the color, bummer about the fender but nice save. Can't wait to see this one done.
  15. Beautiful work. She looks absolutely ravishing!
  16. Nice saves. They look classy like they should now.
  17. Very well done as usual. Wasn't sure if I was interested in this kit as I have the Revell 1968 Roadster 2 in 1, but your build just inspired me to put it on my kits to get list.
  18. Yeah, some of those old MPC kits really don't like to go together very well at all, but yours looks fantastic. This one looks like it was well worth the effort. I really like that yellow too
  19. That's a stunning color combo and a really nice paint job. Looks great.
  20. That's a heckuva idea that turned out quite well. Great color for it too. Very nicely done.
  21. That turned out real nice. Great choice on the color.
  22. Outstanding job on this one as usual.. Beautiful color and it suits the Audi well.
  23. Looks great, and I love the color. Looks like a nice kit.
  24. Nice save! The added details look great.
  25. Correct me if I'm wrong, which I'm sure a lot of you will, but comparing what happened in the past Revell to the future Revell is kind of a moot point since Revell of Germany will be responsible for any new tooling and it looks like Atlantis should be offering up some re-issues of older Revell/Monogram kits. We should all be excited about this new kit and any others that might come from this, as well as the possibility of some re-issue/re-tooling of older kits not in circulation for some time. For instance, and I'm speaking as a huge 60's and 70's Muscle Car fan, the 1971 Trans Am, '69 GTO, '70 Malibu SS454, '69 Super Bee, '70 GTX and Superbird, plus the Buick Grand National and '86 Monte Carlo SS just to name a few, if indeed the sale of molds included the old Monograms. The Atlantis situation is the one I will be watching closest regarding the older molds, but any more truly new kits from R of G will be seen as great news also.
