  1. Decided on standard height walls. Also got "my office" situated. Just need some more scrap book paper to finish decorating the rest of the walls before permanently placing them. Then probably slowly start adding some furniture, equipment and people.
  2. Very nicely done!!
  3. He had some of the best paint schemes of the 2000's in that #5 car. Very well done!!
  4. That sure looks the part! Well done!
  5. Nicely done!!
  6. Nice job! Great looking Lambo!
  7. Nice Firebird and minibike! The Firebird looks good in that color. Great job on the interior.
  8. Great job as usual Marcos!! Looks awesome!
  9. Thanks for the words of encouragement. Definitely not giving up as I'm anxious to see how it will turn out when done . I'm just going to put it away for a month or two until I hopefully have the means to replicate the factory colors more closely either by mixing or by buying the proper shades. My other alternative was to do the interior in black and be able to finish the model right away, but I really fancy the oyster color combo so I'll wait .
  10. Going to put the 1978 Corvette away for now due to not being happy with the interior colors. The light ivory I used looks too cream colored and the Beige is a little too dark for what I had in mind. This is what I am after. Just isn't quite the color combo I was hoping for. The beige that I initially used for the '78's interior tub will however be perfect for the seats for my 1962 Corvette, so I will probably divert my attention to that one until I can find or mix the proper shades for the '78.
  11. Very sharp!! Great paint, great color!
  12. I love it, it looks awesome!! Very realistic weathering/rust and great "company" decals. Great job, and great story (very believable also).
  13. Very nice clean build! Love the idea!
  14. Awesome build! Fantastic idea to merge the two!
  15. This is hands down the most impressive example of scratch built and detailed scale pieces on the planet. Your ability to find uses for basic every day items is phenomenal. Words cannot really describe how impressive your work is. Makes what I'm doing look like a toddlers' stick figure drawing. Definitely will be trying to replicate some of your ideas.
  16. Great job on the stairs! The framing for the upstairs floor looks excellent as does the workbench. That tool set is really going to set things off when you're done. Keeping an eye on your progress.
  17. Most likely, although I do have a smaller one done already for that purpose. It just depends on how this one turns out and which "background" I like the best. I am leaning toward the "standard height' walls.
  18. Thanks, Dan. Thanks! Yup, my mind is already making improvements and alterations before my hands can do the original work, or worse right after, LOL.
  19. That is awesome!! I love it!! Great job on the decals.
  20. Sharp truck!! Great job on the paint, the color looks great!
  21. Outstanding build with fantastic details and weathering.
  22. WOW!! I thought the truck was impressive. The trailer is outstanding as well. What an awesome pair!!
  23. Not quite the elaborate and detailed piece as some of the works of art on here but here's my "speed shop" so far. I'm just not sure about wall height. I don't know if I want lower walls to show room details when finished, regular height walls for realistic uniformity, or a combination of lower side to side walls and regular front to back walls to establish the borders and also show details. Anyways, it's made completely out of 3/16" foam board. The base is a 20"x 30" piece. Across the back will either be a "paint booth setup" or a "detailer's station". Next to that is the "break room area", and then two restrooms will complete the back wall. Plans for the break room will include a refrigerator, a table or two, some chairs, and a counter and sink. Other details such as microwave will be added as well whenever I can come across such items or make them. The restrooms will have a stall with toilet, as well as a urinal, and a sink in each one and probably a mirror. The front part of the shop will have the main working area bordering the booth and break room. All sorts of tools, chests, and parts will be added here. Next to that will be an office area with furniture, and next to that the reception/waiting area with maybe a vending machine or two. A set of stairs will also be incorporated somewhere to lead to an upstairs storage area, so I will probably have to re-think the height of the outside walls. The wall and floor designs are various sheets of scrap book paper I found at Hobby Lobby that come in 12"x 12" sheets that can be found on sale for 4/$1.00. The checkered floor is not glued down just yet until I figure out wall height, and the two cars are both 1/25 scale for size comparison. Right now this is a pretty simple and low budget project that I'm sure will escalate when I start adding the tools and most likely figures to the mix, but at the moment it's just good cheap fun.
