  1. Haven't done anything since November, so before getting back to my '62 Corvette, I thought I'd knock off a quick Snap kit. It's the snap half of the glue/snap 2-pack I bought earlier this year. It has a pre-painted body, so I won't be taking any credit there, but there is enough foiling and other detailing necessary to make a decent replica. In hindsight, I probably should have just gotten the snap kit with the figures, but I went ahead and got the duo kit for the same price even though I really don't need 2 Batmobiles.
  2. Superbly done!! Outstanding detail and great color! Gives me the motivation to get going on mine this year.
  3. Nice work! Dash looks really good.
  4. Looking forward to seeing this one done.
  5. Nice work! The blue one looks great too!
  6. Mailman brought these to me last week. 1966 Suburban chopped sedan delivery by Jimmy Flintstone and a cowl induction hood for it from Lex's Scale Modeling for a project for later this year I hope.
  7. Another mighty fine looking build from you. Really like the color choice.
  8. Looks fantastic! Great details!
  9. Nice job on a well thought out concept!
  10. I like the concept! Nice job!
  11. Pretty sweet color!! Car looks great!
  12. Nice, I've seen those engine parts packs before and they seem like they would be real nice to have.
  13. My Hobbylinc score that came in a couple days ago. My plans for all but the Suburban are self-explanatory, while I need to order the resin Suburban panel body from Jimmy Flintstone to make my shop truck. I've heard a lot of good things about the glue, and needed to pick up some of the sanding sticks for tight corners and hard to reach areas. The mini highway was a curiosity purchase and while being too narrow for 1/25(even though it was advertised as G scale) I can certainly still use it for what it was intended for with a little imagination and ingenuity. Oh, and the receiver was bought earlier and is already being used as the main piece of my Home Theater setup because my previous one fried out.
  14. Nice!! The Testors Mystic Emerald is a nice color. The nicely done white interior really sets it off!
  15. Looks great!!
  16. Looks great!! Nice job on the interior and engine detail.
  17. Awesome job, looks great!! Love hearing/reading stories of how things were done back in the earlier days of NASCAR.
  18. Thanks for the info, I can see where that would be very frustrating.
  19. Very nice day 2 look!
  20. Looks great! Good color choice.
  21. Thanks! I've always been a fan of the Trans Am. Here's a pic of the kit box... It looks like just a re-issue of the 10th Anniversary kit, but with blue, red, and gold bird decals instead of the silver anniversary decals. Everything else seems to be the same. The two wheel options are the same, the "racing " interior is the same, as well as the side pipes. The kit really looks and feels it's age. Lots of flash, heavy chrome plating, thick windshield, not much detail--especially the interior. I bought two, and on both of mine the chassis and body were warped, there is plenty of flash on most of the pieces and the final fit was pretty iffy on the one I've completed so far. I'm probably going to take it apart this summer to try to do a better job of making a windshield, get the stance a little better, line up the wheelwells better, and do a little more detailing. Funny enough though, I can't wait to get going on the second one, LOL.
  22. Thanks for the info Snake. One with a tank is definitely a must have.
  23. Thanks for the info. Not sure what tip I will be using, trial and error I guess.
