  4. these wheels and rotors were both washed with tamiya acrylic black and alcohol thinned 1 part paint to 6 parts alcohol. it may take 2 or 3 washes to get what your looking for..also sometimes with a bright base a lite wash will make details pop out like the manifold on this motor! All my bases are lacquers so I can remove excess wash with my erasure!
  5. you can get a thermometer for $5.00 at harbour freight ,my unit cooks at about 120. I built a dimmer box and marked it for 108.now I can "cook"all paints and fillers. do a search on this topic and you will find this question asked be me in a earlier thread with great ideas!!!

  9. try wafer thin strips of styrene welded in with tenax to build up the opening then start filing and then add more.........

  11. But use solid core or (silver$$) acid or rosen are no-no's as they will leak. I've found "Tix" solder realgood to work with both hot and cold It is $$$ but I use it elsewhere and is onhand.

  20. just about all of my finished kits end up with smudges on the glass..and of course they all scratch when cleaning. Will a coat of future help me?? I know that there is a trick to this??? I went to swannys web site and now I'm more confused!!! HELP ME PLEASE

  22. I agree totally. S&S has the new shovel and accurate makes that killer pan both vintage "modern " motors
  23. good start with the frame.a bobber should have a shovel or better yet a pan. I might have a 80 " shovelhead kit think its the fxe low rider,not sure of manufacture it is a jap kit complete (no mini bike) send me e mail
