  1. I have had nothing but trouble using MMflat interior tan lacquer. I shoot a lot of lacquers with my airbrush and rarely have issues,but for the life of me I cannot get a finish without "sand like texture" My compressor is a fixed output of 22 PSI, I use a badger 155 anthem, I've tried moving in closer and out further, Thinning YEP from 25% to 100% Thought it might be a bad jar ....different source same results Any ideas ??? I'm getting tired of hand painting my tan interiors!!
  2. totally kool.......but the headers just wont work for me.....far too loud for cruisin the fairgrounds..run a tube front to back with a capped flange. and drop a tube down use tamiya acrylics thinned with water for your washes

  4. Read Harrys notes and buy a MAC...use Safari for your web work .....I've got 4 different windows computers inc Vista never a virus on the Mac
  5. Ditto!!! Future can be thinned for a satin or flat look....and if its not quite what you want windex it off and retry!
  6. Try the metalizers...if you don't like the unbuffed magnesium then mix the other shades together. I have mixed brass & alum plate for a cad plated color, as it is lacquer it does not need thining to airbrush. Check the website for a color chart you might be surprised!!
  7. Yep it works great I use both white and grey Tamiya under duplacolor, tamiya , and HOK...$$$$$ but great product!

  11. working on my first ferrari and need to decal it. How and what do I use to apply decals to "raised details" like the prancing horses on the motor and headrests?? microsol? solvaset? as I normally do not decal I need advice.. I've looked at the Superamerica pix by Zoom Zoom and Confederate and I'm blown away!!!!!
  12. You can make plugs out of styrene tubing..drill hole into head, insert tubing and cement. when dry cut to length, paint plug white or yellow,touch of matte black for the boot then slide the wire down the center!!
  13. Look for a paxton setup the old t birds used them in 1:1 not sure of any scale sets!

  15. And use Comet Cleanser as rubbing compound also...... The best way to make a windshield is a 3 axis CAD machine and a block of lexan!!

  17. I like to clear, polish,foil, then seal the edges of the foil with future applied with a fine brush, any decals can get futured on now.IfI take my time No Globs!!
  18. I agree 100%.. I did the Firefighter Mustang kit...Awful red plasticfor the body. ZoomZoom told me to use this ..it works(yeh he wrote it up over there)It went on smooth and thins with alcohol
  19. I noted that thera are 2 Ferrari 612 Scaglietti kits shown by revell. 1 is from germany the other USA with different prices and decal choices any other differences to note or worry about??

  22. I have an older revell kit of Gary Ormsby's Castrol Fueler circa 1991 labeled as the top fuel champion of 1991. Joe Amato was the 1991 champ and G.O. was the 1989 champ. Does this kit have any value??( still shrink wrapped in the box)
