  6. just picked up the coupster But the frame is badly warped...what a shame it looks sweet
  7. Nope you won't anymore . The locals P.O.d TNN after bringing in Musco and lighting the place up like a circus!!! The buggy looks real close to the real thing although a tad short in the wheelbase!! Great build PS: it should read in the Sippy Hole , or From the world famous mile O mud!!! And how did you find these???
  8. That could be so. But I have used those on my '31 and so when I build the '29 I will pay close attention to this
  9. I thought I had cut em back!! as far as the '38: http://www.lindberg-models.com/land_model73064.html I found 1 source taking preorders thats all I know!
  10. These front tires are from the '29 /'31 kits and I would like to use them. BUT ....the whitewall inserts stick out...how to narrow the whitewall?? Should I remove the flange at the rear?? These are the fronts...the rears were perfect!!
  11. Looks great!!!nice even lighting !!!! just remember to practice and watch your shadows!!!
  12. Is that Herbies MOM?????
  13. Good advice from Mark!!Pace makes a great booth...I have a micromark downdraft booth and I love it! The downside is I go through a lot of expensive filters...it takes 3 about $20. a pop. 1st stage I use 1 or 2 a month, The 2nd/3rd stage lasts 6 to 8 months I shoot lacquers. Hope this helps!
  14. I'm leaning towards a sunrise pearl with a different color frame /motor????
  15. Old School: New School:
  16. I guess I still wasn't feeling it.....So out came the Zona again... filled in the Z's , cut the horns down, stretched out the frame so I can get a big block to fit Can you see a blown 421 pontiac in this puppy?? I guess I really like this wheel/tire combo! that grill is gonna come down more!!
  17. Tis A Grand Day, and I'm Green with envy!!!! BTW whats with the snow tires on the goat??? Mike
  18. Let that camera work for you !!! set your ISO to 80 or 100, pick indoor or portrait mode....not macro! turn your flash "on" if you have a tripod great!! if not ...OK!! now back up ..that camera will focus to 1.5' and use your zoom to get in to the model. Fancy lighting is not needed if you watch your shadows!!! Outdoors using the sun as your Main light source figure out where you need the Fill light and get over there and use your flash.... YES OUTSIDE !!!!! This was outdoors with flash! So was this! Check this link!!:http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=10730
  19. Thanx guys...... I'm gonna work on the frame horns and gusset my Z's next, then on to my bed project!!
  20. Or go outside, set to aperature priority(f8 or so) turn on the flash and practice by looking at the shadows with and without flash. Color temp will change the way things look to us. Incandescent bulbs will make things have a yellow/orange cast Flourescent (f40cw) tubes have a bluish tint. And then there is the sun..the best light source This picture was taken using these tips notice the shadows and all details are evenly lit!! simple camera, operator, and setup.....just lotsa practice!!
  21. At least 2" front clearance without bags if its gonna be on the street!! What do you think about lowering the bed? I can trim more in the rear of the cab to keep things lined up...but I might lose some of that rake!!
  22. And once again ZONA MAN!!!! to the rescue!!! A little adj on the frame(pie cut with a gusset) and relocating the spring and adj the perch angle ....... I think its getting close!!!!!
  23. Welllll I Tried different wheel / tire combo and while a little better its still not there I may have to go to a suicide front spring perch thats raised up ?? I'm just gettin a large brick between the ears right now so inspire me!!!! looks like I didn't mount the body all the way down in front.oops!! I dunno.......... I still like the bigger Rubber and the bigger motor idea but might do a 283 with a front mounted Paxton Blower...... and I can stretch that old frame some more!!!
