  1. Great idea......now lets see some skinny whites....lowrider style......
  2. Thanks juergen...I wish I could tell you of countless hours carefully masking and spraying. The real truth is the red interior panels are the factory kit decals!! The only "oob" detail that I have on this build is the fuel line from the pump to the fuel rail up top...just lotsa paint!! I did use BMF on the speaker grills and ashtrays.......
  3. I will ask a simple question. This car is 100% stock, with minor changes, front springs cut, rear lowered with blocks stock tire height with taller late model wheels.Hood shaved.Power train 100 % factory...What should it be called?? We call it a Beautiful Custom Hot Rod Olds!!!!! B)
  4. interior progress....you can see the pink pearl now.....
  5. Looks just like Lem Motlow...... ;)
  6. Took the words outa my mouth B)
  7. You can use a chain saw, or a sawzall...... But use a razor saw for best results.....
  8. Stick with it Dave...you will do it!!
  9. Five blue colors are offered: Slate, Midnight, Elusive, Celeste and Blue Sapphire. Slate is very dark, almost gray, and Midnight is also dark, but with fewer gray tones. Elusive is a light blue, with hues of green or teal added. Celeste is the lightest blue offered, and Blue Sapphire is slightly darker than Celeste.
  10. Peace on Dude!!!
  11. I like it in Brown, almost as much as I love old #7....No breath testing in Lynchburg George, as its a dry county....they serve lemonade after the tour!!

  14. Len is 100% on the Tamiya window,,,,that said sounds more like skin oil on the primer, or the primer was not scuffed
  15. HOK and Jacquard...set #2 http://www.jacquardp...owders/sets.php Color chart: http://www.jacquardproducts.com/products/pearlex/powders/colors.php
  16. Thanks Virgil..I wasn't too sure about "Hot Pink Pearl"...With the linen white it was ....a lot! The pictures do not show the subtleness of the pink and silver pearls on the white...it does make the pink pop!! Yet the top does have a lotta pop now.
  17. Up for sale is another custom M35A2 bobbed 4x4. The truck began as a clean 6x6 we shortened it about 3' added one rear axle back with custom leaf springs. For the bed we used a 9' long M105 bed that was in perfect rust free shape. The truck is a 1971 AM General showing 54,000 miles and 1875 hours. It has a government rebuild tag from 1984. The engine is the LDT-465 multi fuel engine with the loud whistler turbo on it. It has the 2 speed air shift transfer case along with a 5 speed overdrive transmission. The axles are the 2.5 ton Rockwells with 6.72 gears. The tires are the Michelin XL's which stand 46" tall mounted on my own custom 20x11" rims. Tires are 80% or better. The truck runs out perfect, everything has been gone through checked and or replaced. It has many new parts on it like front windsheilds, wipers, arms, etc... This truck has the optional hardtop, coolant heater for the cab, and winter front grill cover which is new. Top speed on a truck like this is 65+mph cruising speed is 60mph. The truck has fresh camo paint on it inside and out. I have built over 20 of these bobbed trucks in the last couple of years so we have alot of experince in something like this. These trucks are sure attention getters and will turn heads anywhere you go. I stock a full line of parts for these trucks new and used, many are for sale here on ebay. If you have a truck, check out my other trucks and parts.
  18. 73 Caprice....Classic 4 door.....400 small block turbo450 trans, 4 tires that went into a parking lot and got sliced sidewalls (didn't leak) went to the races on a saturday night and sold it to a racer for the "Hales Whales" class...he went out finished 2nd....and the winner got disqualified for illegal equipment....gave me the car back..little rougher, drove it to work all that winter, Wouldn't always shut off the motor, a quick yank of the coil wire solved that.........Aggghhh...Memories!!
  19. That sounds good....I might add glue some .30 styrene behind ..that will give you enough depth
  20. And add some pearl to the mix.....
  21. I ran a wholesale hardware supply shipping department after driving truck for the same company. I know how drivers move cartons, also how poorly packed cartons put in a slopply packed truck get crushed. I also order from tower hobbies...they do know how to pack and ship..never in 100s of orders was anything damaged...good packing solves this..
  22. I cannot speak better than this..............
  23. We must be twin sons of different mothers...my thoughts exactly...I build for ME
  24. Not a lot of pics, ;D but I really am workin on it. : : Built the motor, and painted.Got the chassis, suspension cut, painted. Workin on the interior and general paint...The tutone is done, now for a little more "POP"...that paint is too plain for a good lowrider... Its HOK Hot Pink Pearl over a Linen White base.....So now I'm gonna go PEARL on it !! : even though I'm old , skinny , and white ;D
