  1. I love the color combination. A very sharp looking beast. Well done!
  2. Now I gotta me one. See what you’ve done to me...?
  3. Whoa... now that is cool!
  4. Very nice! I’ve been wanting to that kit myself.
  5. Look in www.b-n-lresins.com website.Go to engines tab in the product link.
  6. Very nice. I did the exact kit recently in Desert Rose and White. Did the trim with Bare Metal Foil with zero issues. The trick in working with BMF is work slow and small sections. I use Q-tips to rub in the foil and those extremely sharp Z series Xacto blades. See my 55 BelAir in my Recent builds thread.
  7. We like to say we’re from Upstate New York. Don’t get me started with downstate New York and Cuomo...??
  8. I apologize. I didn’t know there was even another type of Dodge Dart known as the Super Stock after doing a simple Dodge Dart Super Stock search. It does look like either the Polora or the Beldevere. Again, my apologies.?
  9. That is not a 1964 Dodge Dart. I know for fact because I owned a ‘64 Dart. I'm sure you've made a simple oversight because that kit is a '65 Plymouth Beldevere. This is a '64 Dodge Dart...
  10. Mine is too easy... Body Colors: Gloss Desert Rose (Rustoleum) and Gloss White
  11. Thank you. That's my favorite paint scheme.
  12. For some odd reason the left side was easy to install. I had to snip off a tiny piece off one of the connecting pipes for it was a tad long.
  13. Here's what I mean about the exhaust headers not lining up... Right side exhaust pipes partially installed and unpainted....
  14. How did the engine turn out? For the most part it went well up until... well read and see for yourself when I posted the WIP in another forum site. Engine progress thus far.... Painted using Gunze Red Steel. Looks good to me. :lashed: Blower assembly parts... Engine completed. The blower fought me because one being the platform it's suppose to sit on was a tad long to sit properly. Once I trimmed from the back to make it sit properly, you'd thnk its all good. Wrong!!! Even though I had glued it in place and was ready to put the belt assembly on, the top pins it didn't line up evenly to the blower panel. :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: I needed to add a piece of something to raise it a hair. I didn't have any styrene sheets for I never saw a need for them all these years. So what to do? What to do? Looked around my bench and saw a red party cups and the idea came to mind. I cut a small piece and placed it on top of the platform, put the blower assembly on, dry fitted the belts. Perfect!! I then proceeded to cut the same size as the platform it sits on, glued it on, glued the blower assembly on top, glued the belts and let it sit over night. This is the end result with blower assembly touched up with Molotov chrome.... Exhaust pipes... Consists of 4 pieces and really fought me for a day and and let dry overnight. Next I super glued the malean hour or so along with a bit of swearing and cussing. You'd think it would be easy right? Oh hell no!!! Nothing lined up straight or right. After awhile, I simply nipped off the locating tabs on the one half of the exhaust pipe. First I glued on the little nub part to one side of the pipe with super glue, let dry overnight. Next night, I glued the other half to line up uniformly to the nub. perfect! next I glued the exhaust tips on and let those set overnight. Here's the end result prior to paint... It's funny how times had changed when I first built this kit back in the 80s. Everything went extremely well and never had issues with fit. This time around, I was having fit issues. Must be the age of the molds or something. I don't know.
  15. Wow. I didn't know there was a Granada kit. It looks exactly like my neighbor's car across the street from my home when I was a kid.
  16. I use both - Molotov pen and Bare Metal Foil. The trick in using BMF is go slow and work in sections. I use as little width as possible to cover the trims. Measure the length you need. Rub down using a Q-tip and score using those extremely sharp Z series Xacto blades. I got mine at Walmart in the crafting section. Molotov pens especially the fine points can suddenly burst out more than you need while doing the trim work. I usually like to pump out a few drops from the Molotov pen on a pallet dish of sorts and use those disposable/reusable detailing brushes for touch up work. Worked for me. Hope this helps.
  17. Just finished this one off a little while ago. This kit fought me every step of the way from the windshield ill fit, excess flash due to age of mold, busted ball joint on left side (repaired using paper clip to replace tabs points) and finally the hardware to work the flip nose is ridiculous and too flimsy to use. I didn't want bother trying to fix a replacement tabs to radiator. I purposely left off top because I glued the roll cage a tad bit too far back to fit under it. Ah well, she looks good topless with a nice @$$...?
  18. Man, that’s looking really nice green!
  19. Starsky & Hutch Ford Torino aka: Zebra Three (or the Red Tomato) I noticed the point droop in the decal after the first coat of gloss clearcoat. :headbang: Oh well...
  20. Since the Stay at Home order went into effect, I've been busy with a few auto kits. 1/20 scale Toyota 4x4 truck (Lindberg) AMT 1955 Chevy Bel Air Body and Interior Colors: Gloss Desert Rose (Rustoleum) and Gloss White This one is complete minus the decals. I'm waiting to acquire clear decal sheets for custom decals I have planned for this one. AMT 1937 Chevy (Magenta and Silver Metallic) With hood off..
  21. This is a two part inquiry post: A few days ago I was looking around at different online model stores for aftermarket engine kits and came across one site that had a Chrysler Slant Six resin engine kit. These last few days I'm going crazy finding the website. (I know, I should have bookmarked it), I know it wasn't in the list of sites here. Any help would be appreciated. I even did a simple google search and came up with nothing except the 1:1 types. The second inquiry is there a resin kit of a 1964 Dodge Dart kit?
  22. Hello all. I've just returned to the hobby after over 20 plus years. Cars were my first model kits and I've done so many over the years, who needs instructions.guide. LOL! I love building car kits from the 50s, 60s, 70s and beyond. I also build aircraft kits as well.
